Working in a bank is really easy. You just have to be good at math and good with a basic computer.

If you're in a position where advancement is impossible, choose another path.

Life is short and the when we are working sometimes we see the people we work with more than we see our own family. I say keep in contact with your friends from work and take a chance on a new opportunity. That is what is great about free will we can choose to be happy. I say move on you might actually find out that it was the best thing you ever did, but you will never know until you try something new. Change is scary, but to have fear rule your life would be worse. Take it from someone who knows . I left a job of 11 years and tried something completely different and have been doing it for 5 years. Learning a new career is exciting and invigorating. You'll wish you had done it sooner!! Good Luck!!

If you like the idea of working in a Bank, then go for it. All you have to do is keep up counting money all the time...lol
I worked in a Bank and it is not hard. You got your hands full no doubt and you count your drawer after each day. If you make a mistake, it comes out of your pocket.
If you like meeting nice people and working in a friendly environment, the bank is the way to go.
The benefits are okay and like I said, if your on the window for drive up tellers, it just repeats its self, but very rewarding in many ways. I worked my way thru College and ended up as a Financial Consultant before I retired. My VA claim had finally been granted and I received my back pay and now I am retired.
Life is funny sometimes and hardly innocent to a degree, but here's the thing, what would you do?

It doesn't sound like you're happy working where you are. Why not switch jobs to the bank and see how it goes. It surely won't be any worse than where you're at now will it? Most banks have opportunities for you to move up too.

On the down side, banks don't pay great wages till you get to mid-management or above. Still it's a decent job.

By the way, honesty is important if you're handling cash. Don't even think of taking their money for yourself. They will catch you.

Young Lady, Loyalty is an admirable trait though it may limit you on occasion as it does all of us. If your current employer treats you as you say than your being taken advantage off. Any major change in your life is frightening,I would think that a job change is in your future,DON'T cut your own throat. check out the other job before you quit your current position. As blue collar kind of guy I don't have any clue about what it's like to work in a bank. I would think that if your competent in your job now the same will apply in a new one. I say go for it! P.S. if you make this change leave your boss a little mess to deal with. living well is the best revenge :)

But you're also not satisfied where you are now, and you don't foresee a pleasing future there, at least financially. I predict that when you finally make a career move, you'll wish that you would have done it sooner and the move will invigorate you. My answer is philosophical, because I do not know the banking job answers, but I hope someone here provides you with that too.

give a try to yourself, be confident, everything will be fine after your first month in the bank.

Your current boss is not good and in order for you to do your job competently, u must have a good relations with your boss. the bank might have a better prospects. Think about your year-end bonus, increament and etc... u might be able to have these onc you have join the bank. think for long term....!!

Good luck

Don't let ur boss feel like you can be stepped on. hey
if u like ur job rite now but da pay sux, ask for a raise... if da boss dun want to give it to u, you need to stop working hard - lol. I don't know what the law in your country is, but I think they have to have a legitimate reason to fire you... work within ur strengths and within ur time at work. So don't work hard if he isnt paying you more. work the bare minimum... den ask for a raise maybe.

Altho remeber not to get stuck in the RAT TRAP... its evil

you have to do what is best for you regardless. if you have the chance it is a great opportunity for experience and a bank will look really good on your resume. you have to think about the future, you dont have to settle for anything.

myself, i would go with the bank definately!
