I saw an ad for Express Paid Surveys. Are these for real? Can you really earn money? Would my computer get "sick" with "bugs" or viruses? Is it worth it?

I got an e-mail from Avon saying not to believe any rumors or e-mail you happen to hear. They stated that we (reps) should not forward or repeat any information without first verifying it with our managers. I'm dying to know - what are they talking about? Anyone know?

Since 59 1/2 is the age when you are allowed to take distributions without penalty, is she allowed to take some or all of the money out (obviously paying taxes on the withdrawal) even though she is still employed there? She has a 14k dental bill. FYI- She is not contributing to the plan (it currently offers no matching) at this time. Some have said once you're 59 1/2 you can take out whatever you want (by IRS rule), others seem to think the employer can disallow any withdrawals as long as you are employed with them. What's the correct answer?

Some companies require that you allow them to give you a physical exam prior to offering employment. Do you feel it is a violation of your privacy? In addition they require a random drug test during your course of employment. And they will also do a background check! Is that invasive? Is it done for the safety of their work environment or simply to minimize other possible risks?

We have several signs that say NO CUSTOMERS BEYOND THIS POINT. We had one. That wasn't enough, so we added one. Then we went to four.. THen we painted it on the floor. Then we put a small chain across the door. People just keep ignoring these things. (a certain type of people). When you tell them they can't be in that area, they get defensive, several have even gotten OFFENSIVE. I knew one day it would happen and sure enough it did, one of my employees got hurt. I don't know what else to do to prevent these 'certain people' from entering the building where they are not supposed to. The employee wants the customers info so he can sue him, what do I do?

Carpenters need a supply of screws and nails and things which you need occasionally but don't use up all at once. This can add up to thousands of dollars of stuff. Are these in the same category as tools? How do I deduct these?

everyone's saying that elementary school teachers make nothing and I'm a smart girl and I should go into some better....

I personally really would love working with kids and teaching them new things. I've worked at daycare before and done a LOT of babysitting. I love it. But it's true. There's not that much money here. I was thinking of opening up the best daycare ever... with really good programs and very healthy food.

Do you think I should go for it? (of course, I will do all the research and get licenced). I'm 20 years old by the way and sick of studying university math... I hate it! What was I thinking...

I have the ability to buy a house for 200,000 and i am new to buying a home. I am kind of confused how the whole thing works. So i go to the bank and apply for a 200K home loan. So the APR for now is 6.5%. So for a 30year FMR would i end up paying 213,000 after 30 years? I am looking at roughly 650 a month on the safe side? And what is ment by refiencing a home?

My mom took out a PLUS Loan for my college, but I've been paying on it since I graduated. The IRS and our tax preparers told me I could claim the interest paid as long as I was the one making all the payments, I had proof of it, and my mom wasn't claiming it as well.
However, H&R Block NOW says that's not true. The loan was for me, so it's not like I'm a random paying it for a tax break. Please let me know
