I just bought my house this year and I recieved an Annual Tax Bill and a Supplemental Tax Bill. My fiance heard from someone that works for a Title Company that we do not have to pay the Supplemental Taxes and we will not get fined or will not recieve any penalties. He told him that when we sell the house they will take it off of the sale of the house. I am a little leary...does anyone have any idea? I emailed the la county tax board and am pending a response.

Or do the credit card companies go after immediate family members to pay up? Or do they demand the will executors to pay it off?

My company has several of them. There is a very nice fellow that has pretty much moved into one of them. He doesn't seem to mind very much about trash being thrown on him several times a day. But I am concerned that one of these weeks he will over sleep and get hurt when the dumpster is emptied into the collection truck.
Plus I don't want to get sued for any injuries he may suffer from being compacted.

...account? I'm talking about the kind of self-directed IRA that lets you buy real estate, make loans, etc., not one at a stockbroker, discount or otherwise, or at a mutual fund company. Pensco and Sunwest Trust are the only two custodians I know of that will handle this type of account. Anyone had experience with either of these, or one of their competitors? Any info and suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Our situation is this, my fiance and I have lived in our new rental property for almost 2 months, and we are planning to move out because we have both been having allergy problems due to the mold that is growing outside of the house, we are unsure if there is mold inside the house itself, but we have to keep the windows closed and the air on because we cannot breathe when we our outside, especially when it rains, and we our wondering if we can break our lease, becasue the landlord is planning on taking us to court due the contract agreement we had originally signed. We are also having problems with the water system, and have had pest problems from before we actually moved into the rental property. These are all problems that were supposed to have been fixed BEFORE we moved into the rental property. Can You Help Us.............

I live with my Mom as her caregiver and we have lived in this apartment since I was 7. I am now 27 and the carpet was replaced once when I was 14. The carpet is not healthy...it has some mold and is very visibly worn and "gummy" feeling due to the high level of humidity in the area in which I live. It is not clean, and I am afraid it is contributing to my allergies. So we have thirteen year old, filthy carpet. My Mom spoke to the manager about having the carpet replaced and they sent someone to clean the carpet but it didn't help. So we had another cleaner out, and again that didn't help...in fact, it seem to make it worse although it did make the carpet look better. People move in and out of the apartments all the time and we notice that they are frequently changing the carpet in the other apartments. So what should I do? Who could I contact to report this problem to for help?

We are in bankruptcy, and only have a few months to go before it is over, and we can stop paying the trustee. The forced budgeting was a learning experience, but how can we start any savings plan when we are always broke? We live month to month and can barely make it to the next payday after the bills, bankruptcy and mortgage are paid. I do have a employee IRA, and my employer matches the amount. How do I save and NOT touch that savings for all the $$ emergencies we have? (Broken cars, doctors, etc.)

I moved in to an apartment (the upper part of an old house; the landlords lived below) in August. There was no signed lease agreement, but I indicated that I would probably stay through May of next year. I paid a deposit as well as rent on the first day of each month.
Unfortunately the apartment turned out to be a health hazard. The bathroom had a black mold infestation, the cold water in the sink didn't work, sometimes I had no water, they turned off the heat for a week when they went out of town, and the bathtub did not drain at all (so I took a shower elsewhere for a month).
I gave them two weeks' notice and moved out November 1st.
They are not giving me my deposit back because they claim they are losing money by not having time to find a new renter. This is a lie because they have a second apartment they rent that has remained vacant since I moved in.
1) Is it possible to get my money back?
2) How do I report health code violations?

I need to find a job, very soon. I feel like I dont know how to prepare myself though, so it makes me really nervous. When I ask for applications, and when I turn them in, there is usually a lot of people there buying things, does it look bad to wait in line to speak to them? There is a store that I really want a job at, but I havent gotten a call back yet. I turned in the application last tuesday, so I was thinking about going up there and asking about it, is it too late for that? And if there is a lot of people there in line, should I wait in line to speak to the person behind the counter?

I am trying to apply for my first credit card but somethings are confusing and I don't want to get the wrong one.
For instance some credit cards have say a $200 balance but a $115 dollar one time fee so the amount I can use is $85 until I pay off that $115 and I really dont want to pay for a credit card you know? I want to just have one well yeah.
Anyways I need to know what I should be looking for when it says
Intro APR
Intro APR Period
Regualr APR
Annual Fee
Balance Transfer
Credit Needed
Program Fee
Participation Fee
Additional Card Fee Annually
Grace Period
Minium Fiance Charge
Lay Payment Fee
Over Limit Fee
Monthy Account Maintenance Fee
And what should other charges and additional fees consist of

I am 18 years old and married.
I have little credit established and thought getting a credit card would help me build my credit.
I'm not stupid I just don't want to make the wrong choice getting my first card.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me! = )

I received an email from a friend. I was shocked in reading the contents. The Family readiness Group of the North Carolina National Guard, are trying to compose Christmas packages for our soldiers. They were asked for one special gift they would like to have. Their answer was a Wii System and some games for the one TV they have for 150 soldiers in each unit Remember only one Wii system was requested. A post was posted by Victoria Felicio to Nintendo@noa.nintendo.com at 19:02:54000 10/22/2007. This was their reply:

Message (#6851-000626-2101\6262101)

Hello Victoria,

Thank you for contacting Nintendo with a donation request for the North Carolina National Guard unit you are building holiday packages for.

I want to let you know that although your request is worthwhile, we will be unable to provide you with a donation of a Wii system. Because we receive many more solicitations than we can accommodate, we generally direct our contributions to large organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, Untied Way, and Boys & Girls Clubs, Nintendo is able to provide assistance and stay involved with our community.

Thank you for thinking of Nintendo.

Sincerely,

Nintendo Of America Inc.
Mina Harris

Please tell me how you feel about their response, and I’m sure you all have someone serving in this war in Iraq. Me personally had brought a system for my grandson for Christmas, as of today I returned it. Our soldiers lives are nothing to this Company that makes billions from these soldiers families!
