I get along with my roommates pretty well but I still feel like I want to move out because of some reason! But when I confronted them, they didn't seem to like the idea! I said I will find someone to sublet me on the lease but they said I was being selfish for having them to adapt to a new person! They said if I find someone to sublet, they have to agree to see if they get along well with that person. But what if at the end, they still don't let me off the lease if i find someone to sublet me. The property management saids everyone on the lease must sign and agree in order to let someone off and let someone in. Even I find someone to sublet and they don't let me, can I sue or something? I live in California!

hi my partner will probably get the sack today, he started a new job in august for a big store. hes been basically running the furniture department, the manager of dept walked out but she has 13 weeks to improve, but my partner was given just a week to 'turn the dept around' there isnt enough staff. he's running about doing everything they're really putting him under pressure. giving ridicuolous time constraints to get everything done before the weeks up.he has a meeting today where he thinks they will sack him

what should he do? must they then give a weeks notice? my partner does a gr8 job but he cant work miracles, he's being made a scapegoat. theyre keepin a sales guy who got the sack from last job cos he was caught stealin and he threatened a customer recently (the bosses thinks the sun shines out his ***)

he knows all this too, my partner thinks he'll be made supervisor (he's goin 2b out of job @xmas) :0(
what should he say 2 them 2day/do? his weeks up 2day plz/thanx?

My main reason for asking this is that I am aware that this lady and her husband fleeced my mother, and also basically ignored her during that time, despite the fact that my Mum bought her a new car to ferry her around, yet ended up taking the bus as this lady was always "on tour". If tax is due to Inland Revenue, I fully intend to report her, and I would like to know how

a friend of mine got fired from work for frequently reporting late to work. Now he is faced with credit card bills totaling $5000. He has $0 in the bank, because for 7 weeks he has not been able to find work.

He writes letters and mails them to his credit card companies, saying that he is unemployed so they give him some extra time to pay, but none of his credit card companies ever replied back to his letters and still continue mailing him his statements with payment deadlines.

I quit my job without giving a 2 week notice. My district manager asked me if I plan to ever come back to work for the company and I said no. So she said that she was going to mark me as non-rehirable. Is this going to effect my employment record? Im a student now and dont plan on getting a full time job for like another 6 years. Would I be able to put this employment on my resume? I worked there for 2 years.

My boyfriend recently got a transfer within his company so that we could move to a different town. He has worked for his company for 3 years and has earnt a good reputation there... however, after 4 weeks on his new account, he hates it. Last week he had an offer from another company who will pay more money and are much closer to home.

He handed in his resignation yesterday and asked if he could leave immediately. All hell broke loose and all his bosses said that they thought it was "disgusting" that he was "demanding" to leave straight away (which he wasn't). His old and new boss (who arranged the transfer) have said that they wash their hands of him and can't believe that he wants to leave after everything they've done for him.

The people at work didn't talk to him anyway - now he will have a very frosty month ahead. He was actually in tears this morning because he hates it so much. He got paid yesterday and a few people have told him he should just walk. What do you think?

A friend of mine is having hard time finding an hourly job at some store or shop. He has been applying for several weeks but doesn't get hired anywhere. I think its because he staples a 3 page resume on top of job application.

I told him resume isn't needed for hourly store or fastfood position. I mean for like $6.15 an hour position, is there any need of stapling a 3 to 4 page computer typed resume? There is work experience section on the application already. Is this the reason why he can't find work?

He says he can't find work, because too many people are looking for work but he cannot stop stapling his resume to job applications. Do you think this is stupid? I think so.

The bad thing is that he is drowning in heavy credit card debt and is now in position that he can't even make minimum payments. With zero income he continues using credit cards heavily, but isn't able to find job.

Ok so I have worked all year and when I do my W2's I never claim my children. For dependents I only claim 1 for myself. I was told by doing so it would help me owe less money at the end of the year. I qualify for EIC so when I do my taxes I claim my children. Is this legal.....? Can you not claim your children all year and then pick them back up.

When exactly do recruiters get paid? When I interview with the company or when I get hired? How can I negotiate when the recruiter has set a "max" for the job? And can I negotiate with the company directly? I don't want to sign the contract if I feel that the recruiter is low balling my salary...I hear you can make more if you don't use the recruiter.

I have $10,000 that I am looking to invest, but not for the substantially long term. I will not need to worry about retirement so anything that plans for that isn't what I am looking for. CD's seem like they are made for people entering more than 10k for it to be worth it. What would the pro's and con's be a Roth Ira?What are my other alternatives? And no I don't want to spent it!
