I have a decent income but am swamped with debt that I can't handle. I need a fresh start, but am unable to acquire a loan because of poor credit. The problem is mounting and I do not want to file bankruptcy. If I can get a personal loan of say $20,000 then I would be on my way to financial freedom.Tell me what do I do or where do I turn to for help? I need immediate relief! Help someone!!!Thank you!!

1. Can you order a home inspection BEFORE you make an offer om a home?...
2. If not, if you make an offer and win the bid, can you pull your bid at any time if you find some work needed that was not evident in a standard walkthrough?
3. Can you get out of a winning bid offer?
4. How much UNDER the asking price is considered low-balling?
5. In today's housing market, how much under would you offer for a home? (20,000-30,000?) (I know the markets vary by locations), but in general?

I am in my 40s and have never had a sense of exactly what I'd like to do for a living. I don't like what I do now, but it's what I do and it pays the bills, so I do it. I know I'm not alone in feeling this way and wonder what others think about being in this situation.

I was a nurse at a clinic for about 3 yrs from 1999-2002. The physician I worked for had a wife that called me at home one night and blabbed a bunch of their problems to me. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. Several months later, she accused me of having an "inappropriate" relationship with him which WAS NOT TRUE. I ended up getting fired for "insubordination" tho I never signed an incident report. I can't not put them on my resume' as it was a signifigant part of my employment with valueable skills. I found out from a potential employer that she had outright lied about me and my character, stating negligent nursing care, poor work ethic, etc. All damning charges in the healthcare field and they are not true. I was a very good employee there, loyal and hardworking. I have several other employers that give me great references but this one seems to be slandering me pretty viciously. Can she do this? What can I do to keep it from happening ?

If a person is a private trust deed investor and they want to sell off one of their notes to a real estate broker, do all of the back taxes have to be current? The note is a 1st trust deed on undeveloped land.

I keep looking for a free source of information on defense contractors. Almost everything out there either costs to join, has out-dated lists or you have to go to multiple sites to get a little bit of information. I'd like to use my decades of military experience to make a decent living. Almost everything I've found from the Transition Assistance Program classes is useless. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Recently moved from the South to the North, there are now three taxes on my house (in the South there was one) at about double what I was paying before, we pay an income tax to the local municipality, never did that before, of course our state charges income tax, the rate is probably higher. So what are we getting?

less services, recycling pick up only every other week, most people don't even bother recycling

no municipal or county dump or land fill to get rid of things

narrow, winding, potholed streets with ugly weeds and guard rails (in the South we had nicely curbed wide smooth streets with lovely landscaping)

teachers about to go on strike and lazy unionized public workers

people who work in shops and stores ignore customers and carry on their own conversations (yesterday I bagged my own groceries in Giant Eagle while 5 workers gabbed nearby)

NO adresses, no streetsigns with block numbers, you can't find anything!

Yuck! I know I've gone off beyond taxes!

We used to just take a carload of stuff to Goodwill and just estimate the overall value but now I heard you have to itemize every single thing to qualify for tax credit. I've got a bunch of stuff and would like to know this answer before dropping it off at a donation center.
