Back around 2000 or 2001, I didn't file a tax return. Bad, I know, but that was also the begining of a tumultous time that saw me moving to several foreign countries, among other things. Other than this problem, I am caught up on my taxes for other years, and this one year that I didn't file, I made very little money (I was only working PT as a college student), under the amount that is even taxable to begin with, so if I'd been smart, I would've gotten money back in the end. I just want to know- if I file them now, what kind of punishment will Uncle Sam have in store for me? I'm pretty scared...

gold is close to $800.00 per oz. ! Why is the price of gold so high but yet last week I could not get $50.00 for my 14kt. solid gold Geneve Watch. My inlaws paid $1250.oo for this watch in 1990 when gold was much lower. The gold buyers store said that the watch is a real gold geneve watch but it is only worth $45.oo ! If i invested $1250.oo in a mutaulfund in 1990 I would have about $3800.00

I used to have a small business of which my father was a director. The business borrowed an amount from the bank. Due to familly problems ie disabled sons, I moved house. Unfortually due the the circumstances I had to cease trading and left an amount in the bank to cover repayments. I informed the bank of my new address and my personel current details came to the new address. However, two years on my Father has been contacted by a debt collection agency saying that this money is owed. My father is liable as he was the garantor for the loan. We have looked into the old statements and it is apparant that some money is out standing. However my father is 84 and getting very stressed at the situation. Yes I wish to pay the money in installment but only to the bank. Surely they should have written to i or my father (both directors) to bring this outstanding amount to our attention. What can I do ?? Have I got any legal rights to pay the bank back and not this debt recovery agency???

I admit it, I have severe cognitive deficits when it comes to personal taxes. My husband and I end up owing 2-3000 every year. We don't know how to figure out our W-4's to get the correct amount taken out. We've been doing H&R Block Tax Cut program CD at home but can't navigate it to take advantage of possible tax breaks w/o going nuts. Should we just go to a personal tax advisor, accountant, fly-by-night Jackson Hewitt kiosk at mall?

Hello. I have a discover card cashback bonus card and someone called in as me which caused Discover Card to place my account on hold. It has been three weeks now and I have very little time to go to prove i am the account holder by showing my driver's license. I just check right now and i have 0.00 dollars in cashback bonus in which i was suppose to have $130.00. I am so friggin pissed since it took me two years to accumulate all of that bonus. What should I do and do they have the right to forfeit from me?

I bought me house last December and now I want to travel (working holliday) for 1-2 years… Is it possible to get equity out of my house for this purpose.

Here is the info I have to work with.

House Cost $270,000
Still Owe $260,000
Pay approx $1800.00 per month in repayments.

Could probably rent for $300 per week (on gold coast)

My house is on the Gold Coast so I think the prices have risen a bit, ($20K-$30K)

I would like to borrow enough equity to cover the shortfall between the rent and mortgage repayments and have about $10K for travelling..

Do you think this is possible or should I just sell???

I am selling a book to someone on craigslist and they want to pay me with paypal. I'd much rather do this than with cash but I want to be safe...especially since there are a lot of weird people on craigslist.

When someone gives you money through paypal what information do they recieve about you? I know all they need is your email to send money but I would really rather the person not know my full name.

Does anyone know the answer to this? I've never sent money through paypal.

Known Facts :
Sales For 1st year = 7230
Sales for 10th year =32259
Above numbers are in Mil
Historical growth rate for above period was 0.18077
by using formula
((32259/7230)^(1/9))-1=0.18077

Question is finding sales value 5 years in future?

I estimate it is around 54000!

I think formula would be close but I do not know how to find XX?

((XX/32259)^(1/4))-1 = 0.18077739

I used 4 for years as that was number of year from the end of the 10th year to the end of the 15th year.

Thanks for your help!
Bob

Does anyone have had any interaction with a very good property dealer for Gurgaon properties?
I am seeking a property dealer who would be fair and honest in all his deals, and would not be a shark, like many out there.
Is there any list of good property dealers for Gurgaon on the Internet anywhere?

I had seen all kinds of people selling Iraqi Dinars on eBay, but I was always hesistant about buying them because there was no place to sell them except eBay. I also wasn't sure if the Iraqis would ever start using the new Iraqi Dinars. I thought they might use some other currency like the Euro instead. There are companies selling the new Iraqi Dinars, and they claim that you will be an instant millionaire if you buy Iraqi Dinars and re-sell them in the future. What do you think about the new Iraqi Dinar? Does it seem like something you could ever profit from?

I noticed a website for a company last year. The name of the company was called Independent Partner Brokerage. The web address was www.ipb-forex.com. Independent Partner Brokerage was supposed to be a company that did Forex trading. Forex trading is trading one currency for another. It's a very risking type of trading. I was seriously considering investing some money with that company. The company said people could invest $350 or more, but I have checked the website a few times this month, and it's no longer available. It hasn't been available this entire month. What do you think? Do you think Independent Partner Brokerage is a scam?

I do owe the debt and will pay it, but my credit report is stating the wrong amount. I sent out a debt validation letter and recieved back my debt amount but it is for about 50% less than what is in my CR. What should I do? Contest it again or just contact the debt collector and start my negotiations? I don't want to get stuck with the other 50% after I pay them off.
