The normal comission is 3% for each, which is 6% total for buyer and seller agents. I wonder if this rule can be broken? What about 2% for each? With the slumping housing market, I think 6% is too much. What happen if I want to sell my house and offer it at 2% each. My property price is around half million

If you leave a job and go someplace else, is it okay to just leave your account there with the old job? Is there a time frame when you should remove it, and place it at your new job? Also, you wouldn't be putting money in it anyway, or would you have to have an agreement with your last employer??

My husband and I want to move to Raleigh and buy a house and possibly settle, but we're not sure it would be appreciated if we would instead decide to sell and move in a few years. Any information on the market over there would be helpful! Thank you!

If an equipment was completely destroyed (involuntarily), and a salvage company disposed of the equipment free of charge, how would you record the disposal of equipment in regards to accumulated deprecation and original cost.

The accounts reflected this on the date of "sale" or disposal

Original Cost: 76,200
Residual Value 4,200
Estimated Life 15 years
Accumulated Deprecation (straight line) 57600 (12 years)

I don't know how to balance out the equation (a=l+e) on this one.

Thanks.

Hi,

Currently I have x shares in a company. I'm set up on a 'dividend' scheme whereby at the end of each year my dividend payment is used to re-invest and purchase more shares.

So after one year I have x+y shares, but where do the 'y' shares come from? I was under the understanding that the authorised share capital of a company was finite, and that the only way to authorise more shares was to submit to Companies House. So: does this mean that for each 'new' (or reinvesting) shareholderthe company is having to re-authorise it's share capital amount? Or is there a 'reserved' pool or something similar for "new" shares?

Thanks!

I live in Florida and am working for an LLC as a contractor for the first time ever. I travel all over the country speaking at colleges and Universities. I am concerned about the issue of paying estimated taxes. I have been told that the approx taxes on $40,000 are just under $8,000 WITHOUT deductions....I don't know how much I will end up making but I am guessing close to 50,000.....I would like to stick wtih the 40,000 number for now though. Is this statement true and if so, how was it figured?? I have sent estimated payments totaling around 5,000...I am WORRIED about 4/15......

I am sorry to but I am a newbie. Maybe one day I ll be as good as you are : ) I saw that Etrade charges $7 to $12 per stocks, does it mean that if you buy 100 shares, you have to pay 700 to 1200 + the shares price? Thank you very much.

I have been with my company for 2 yrs now as a marketing admin assistant/ graphic designer, and recently found out from a friend/co-workwer of mine (who is the same job title as me, but strictly admin, no graphics), that she is making about 10k more than me an was only hired 12 months ago.

I had previously asked my boss about 6 months ago for an increase in salary, that would fairly match my job skills and what I contribute to the company, and i got an increase. But at the time he said he gave me what he could afford and when i got the increase cheque it was an extra $25/month (talk about a slap in the face.)

I spoke with my boss recently an let him know that the salary gap was completely unfair, an that unless the company brings up my salary I will have to look elsewhere.

3 wks has gone by an things seem to be going nowhere, so I'm currently looking for another job, but if I am offered an increase should I ask for the mrkt rate for Graphic Designer salary+1 yr retro pay?

I've heard that people in sales @ CH Robinson can make 6 figuress in 2-3 years. Is this normal or only the exception? Also, would you recomend working in sales or accounting? Which pays more, is more rewarding, focused on work/life balance, opportunities for growth, etc? Advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm afraid that I'm not getting jobs because I have lots of unpaid debt, many collections people trying to collect. My last job had Ford Credit garnishing my wages. Any reason to worry that I won't find a company that will hire me?
