I am really tight financially and can't decide whether I should sell my house and move to a rental or not. I purchased the house 2 years ago after a divorce. I am so strapped I can't see straight. I already work full-time and part-time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Note: In my community, rent would only be about $100-$200 less than my current house payment. Of course, part of the time, utilities would be included in rent.

Thank you!!!

I already did the interview and everything went okay. I've been told many times from other interviews this "we will go over your papers and see if you fit this job and then we will call" I usually don't get a call. Do you know if I got the best buy job, I think I did okay in the interview, how long does it take them to call?

Any advise would help.
They take over my work and when I told them not too, they felt offensive. I went and complained and I heard from my other co-workers so did they. Now the three of us have stopped talking to each other and the work enviroment it very depressing. Please help. Working on what I was suppose to be working on would make it look like to the managers that (the two of them) are better and are not only handling their work but mine as well.

I have much debt, and I need this to pay a bit off.Tried citibank, but no deal with job under 2 yrs and a job with small wage plus bonuses that fluctuate. Approx 40,000 yr. Been concentrating on making bills and not picking up new debt. I can make my monthly bills and save 1000 or so but I need it in about a month.Monthly bills about 1500 (min, eating ramen noodles). Changing my spending habits to save more. But like everyone I want to get ahead. Can pay it in 18 months with 24% interest. I just cant get approved. Job for under a year with last job for 2 yrs. Fallen for 1 scam. I am wary of scams. Any options?

My monthly cell bill with AT&T comes with the following charges every month that I dont understand...

Credits, Adjustments & Other Charges
Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge 1.25
City Utility Users Surcharge 4.00
Federal Universal Service Charge 1.82
TOTAL CREDITS, ADJUSTMENTS & OTHER CHARGES $7.07

thats on top of the regular taxes..

Government Fees & Taxes
County 911 Service Fee 0.50
State 911 Service Fee 0.20
State Sales Tax 4.34
City Sales Tax 1.07
TOTAL GOVERNMENT FEES & TAXES $6.11

Thats over 13 bucks a month in government taxes and fees and "other charges" !!!! Whats with these other charges? Do other cell companies charge all these fees? I dont ever remember my bill with sprint having so many fees and charges..If youre with another carrier and do not get charged as much let me know..

I live in WA state BTW..in case that might make a diff..I lived in MI when I had the sprint account

My bf just got fired last night because he input a customer check twice on 2 separate occasions. He workd for Movie Gallery. They trained him to be a SCSA (Senior Customer Service Associate) which is basically a MOD (Manager On Duty). He would take care of all the paperwork @ night before he closed the store. According to him when they do the training for it, it's bascially a teach yourself type thing. They don't really do much hands on/example training. Well I guess there was a couple of times @ 2 separate stores that he input a customer check twice and didn't catch it when he went to do paperwork @ the end of the night. I guess it went all the way up to corporate level in paperwork troubles, but I still don't see why they would fire him over that.

What do you think? If you are an employer what would you do and why?

I think they could have at least let him keep his job, just maybe bumped him down to a CSA and not let him close the store or do any paperwork.

Me and my husband of 10 years would like nothing more that to buy a home. We have 2 boys, ages 13 and 1. Our dream is to buy a home. Our credit is bith not good, mine 595 and his 587. I have been trying 2 years to clean them up. When you are young you do not think aboutthings like this but we are in our 30's and it DOES matter a lot. We are sick of living in an apartment. I want a yard, I want to be able to paint and change things. It has been my dream for awhile now. We can afford up to $950.00 house payment, although we have nothing down...as we are a working family of 2. We pay our bills now comfortabley but are not able to save much. Can someone please help us get to someone who will not turn their noses up or look down on us and really and truely cares about our dream?
Thanks

She says she went to legal aid and they said that we have to file jointly, but now that we're separated, I'd rather file separately. It all seems like a ploy to get my tax refund, when I'm the one who did all the work that brought in that income.

Help!

I live in Oregon.

According to the FCRA, section 605(c) runnin gof reporting time, it states that, "In general. The 7-year period referred to in paragraphs (4) and (6) of subsection
(a) shall begin, with respect to any delinquent account that is placed for collection
(internally or by referral to a third party, whichever is earlier), charged to profit and
loss, or subjected to any similar action, upon the expiration of the 180-day period
beginning on the date of the commencement of the delinquency which immediately
preceded the collection activity, charge to profit and loss, or similar action."
My question is: What about a bill ( medical services from 10/28/2002-12/18/02) that was NEVER paid on, has NOT been sent to collections. When would the SOL have started on this(since there has never been a payment on this account) Would it be the last date of service-12/18/02? If my state of NY is 6 years, does it mean that they have until 2008 to try to collect payment? Thanks!

I'm desperate.
Seriously desperate.
I'm 20 years old, still live with my parents.
They have so many depts it's unbelievable, even after personal bankrupcy (since about half the debt is to family and friends and we want to repay them).

For last umm 17 years maybe, my dad has been giving math & programming private lessons in our home. He always preferred to work at home. But the thing is, he only has like a lesson or two per day... which is really not enough!!!
He had a couple of odd low-paying jobs from what I remember, each lasting for about a year or two. He never, and I mean never, got a job according to his profession: software programmer and tester. He is very smart. He has three degrees and real potential to make a lot of money. I don't know what is wrong with him. My money from work and credit cards go to the family or my college tuition. My mom is going mad and wants a divorce from my dad because it feels like he will never get a real job even though he always promises to

My son is 4.5 months old. His grandparents just called and asked for my his social security number. I of course asked what they needed it for and they informed me that they set up a savings fund for him and they add to it each payday. No one can tap into the fund except my son (at age 18) and his grandma. They said they estimate it will be at least $50,000 or more! by the time he is 18. I'm thinking, 18? why not 25? They are hoping he will use it for college but I imagine he'll be car shopping on his 18th birthday and regretting wasting the money by the time he's 25-30. Should I suggest age 25? or let it be?

I got a new job over the summer and he said they don't take taxes out, so at the end of the year I'll have to file and declare for my taxes. I'm really confused as to what I'm supposed to do.
Do I choose how much I tell the government I've earned? Or what exactly will I have to do when tax time comes?

I've asked this already in Polls/Surveys and Hobbies/Crafts and got some great response..just wanting to get as many opinions as possible....;-) THNX!

My little craft business has grown & I'm in need of a name for it.
75% of my stock is wooden items that I handcraft & then personalize them at customers request on site via woodburning. The other 25% are items that are either made from or reflect "nature" in a 'woodsy/foresty' fashion.
Based on the imagery I want the name and logo to reflect (which is a forest fairy), my friends/family & myself came up w/a list of 20 which I've cut down to 5....
I NEED YOUR VOTES on which one to use!

1-EarthFaire Gifts & Decor

2-The Woody Nook (OR The Wooded Nook)

3-Village Charm (OR Country Villa Craftworks)

4-Gifts from the Hearth (Yes, Hearth...not 'heart')

5-...my name's....Earthy Treasures

Thanks for your answers!!

Insurance Companies have answered my ad and now are offereing more due to misplaced homeowner who are rebuilding. One agent saw that I raised the rent and is accusing me of price gauging. Am I breaking laws? I need the money to cover my losses... Due to demand I think I can get 4000. One Ins. adjuster told me authorizations for increased rental prices during these times are authorized. but another is disgusted and threatens to report my ads to Feds..Yikes!
