I think that I have applied to every law firm in Indiana. I do not have any law experience, but how can I if no one will hire me. I have an Associate's Degree in Business and now I am going for my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. I heard that it doesn't matter what your degree is in.

I bought a house about 2 years ago at the height of the housing boom =( Recently I took out a home equity line of credit so now I have 2 mortgage payments to pay. I just lost my job and found another but the pay is a lot less. I don’t think I can continue making my mortgage payments. If I decided to quit and stop making payment, what will I lose? Beside the house and bad credit, can the mortgage company go after my personal belongings or dig into my bank accounts? Thanks!

I live in a two-bedroom apartment for about five months now. The rent is kind of reasonable, but sometime it is hard when you are a single mother of a two year old and are living paycheck to paycheck.

my question is that I have sign an agreement to stay here for at least a year. But I'am weighting my options about that. I would like to buy my first home sometime next year.

And I was wondering what will be the price if I went ahead and broke my least for my apartment.

And I have a few questions... that would probably be suited for the person that I have the interview with, but I figured that I would ask them here anyway.

1) What is the starting pay usually? (And don't say just minimum wage please, it could be anything since I've heard different things)

2) Are they flexible with hours? (This is very important to me. I can work every day if I have to, but I want it like 9-5 or 8-5 because I have college classes in the evening)

Can anyone answer? I'd really apperciate it. But I will bring these up with the interviewer, and hope for the best. I just want to get an idea of what to expect.

Thanks.

RE: Creditor

Then it goes on to say that they are writing about a debt to Midland Management (a debt I originally had with an Exxon mastercard in 2002). The amount they want is 335, and my balance is 841.89 (the last settlement offer amt) but does not directly say that it will be considered closed. What is this? Are they getting ready to sue me?

When I was married I usually always had myself listed as single and claiming 0 allowances for my paychecks so they would take out the maximum they could in taxes so that we didn't owe at the end of the year. Starting in January I would like to claim more allowances (maybe 2 or 3) so that I will have more money in my paychecks. I am divorced now and I have custody of our son so I kind of need more money coming home with me. I am concerned though, that I wouldn't be able to get a refund when it came time to do my taxes and that I'd end up owing money. Does anyone know if I would definitely get money back no matter how many allowances I claim since I do have a child or could I still end up owing? I don't make alot of money, btw.

My husband and I live in Ohio and currently there are no jobs where we live. We have recieved an offer in Indiana and we're all for it but we need $2000 to break our lease and pay all the fees associated with moving and getting into a new apartment. From then on we could reasonably make enough to pay it back.
We have no savings and are currently living off of crappy unemployment checks and emergency food stamps (which isn't enough).

Do you know of any possible ways we can get $2000?
Or a place that will give us a loan even though we are unemployed?

As I said, there are no jobs in the small town we live in, so please help us out!

I'm a realtor, and I have a client with an existing mortgage who's selling on land contract. My client's mortgage is fixed at 5.375 and they're charging the buyer 8.5% on a 30-year amortized three year baloon. The buyer thinks they should be able to deduct their interest, but somehow the idea that both can deduct the interest doesn't sound like something that would fly with the IRS. Anybody with experience in something like this? Thanx.

We have completed a bankruptcy but were served with a nondischargability claim from a private lender claiming fraud. I have all of the answers and want to know if it is advisable to answer the complaint by myself so as to avoid additional and unnecessary attorney fees.

I just filed my taxes for last year. I don't really want to hear about me loaning the government free money - whatever - irrelevant - I know...

Anyway, I filed my taxes and I calculated a refund of but I got $67.81 -more- back... What gives?

Does the IRS actually give you interest? It seems slightly high if they did. More than likely it's a mistake? But the IRS does give refunds in sub-dollar range. They round up or down don't they?

so I work at a large company and have for a few months, I'm slightly underpaid which I'm ok with because of my age, I was planning on going away for college at the end of the summer, but ended up taking classes at a local community college instead because I wanted to keep the job. Now the work seems to be running out, I get sent home early at leats once a week and there's never stuff there in the morning for me, not only am I not getting the hours I want I'm worried about keeping my job. Now every time I get some work I stretch it out to as much time as I can, and I take my time doing it, or mess arround here. I know this is wrong, but by the way I'm treated can I somewhat justify it?

I'm in construction and it's the start of the slow season so I can't really just go get another job, what should I do?

Ok let me start by saying i am here to get help not scolded. I am helping out my sister (and no it wasnt her who did it). Ok, My sisters identity was stolen (well borrowed) by someone she knows....and that ran up some things under her name. What i would really like to know is how she can stop it from happening again. The person paid her back and everything is ok now. But she is worried that it will happen again. She has talked to the cops and she doesnt want to get the person in trouble but she does want to make sure it does not happen again. What can she do? I know there is the 90 day watch she can do. But we also heard of locking her social security number or changing it. Can that happen? And most of all can it happen without filing a report.
