deduct a part of their income taxes as "car expenses." I say that they use their car exactly the same way I used mine. We both use our cars to take us to our place of employment. It is not my fault that they choose to work "all over the place." They made that decision. I did not force it on them. So, if we both use our cars for the same purpose, to take us to work, why do the tax payers have to subsidize them and not me?

My husband and I are currently going through a divorce. He was self-employed, so he was supposed to take taxes out of his own check. Unfortunately, he didn't do it, and now owes the government over $3000. He told me that since we were married during that time, I am responsible for it too, and if I don't help him pay it, the government will go after me as well. I don't know if he is just trying to threaten me or if he actually knows that. I am talking to a lawyer this afternoon, but would like an idea of what he will say.

Does it truly involve giving people baths, dressing them, cleaning up their behinds like a baby, and working with old people? Aren't there CNA jobs in regular hospitals rather than in just nursing homes? My mom is a retired nurse and said that I want nothing to do with being a CNA because of the work that's involved.

When we bought our house, we have a survey done to show that our house was OUTSIDE the 100 year flood plain. 6 years later, our insurance company wants us to get flood insurance because now our property is COMPLETELY within the 100 year flood plain thanks to some new map FEMA did.

Oh, and BTW, it's DRY AS A BONE in Georgia, so I have no idea what big flood they might be concerned about.

Any suggestions on how to get around this with the insurance company?

I am with Ulster Bank in Northern Ireland. Im currently studying in Scotland and so I called them and asked them to transfer all of the money in my current account into my student account.

The reason for this is that with my current account I only have a cash card which allows me to withdraw from an ATM but with my student account I have a Maestro card which I can do more with.

After I called them I realised they hadnt transfered the money yet so I just withdrew 500 from my current account to pay for my rent and buy some clothes and so on.

I got a letter this morning saying that I am overdrawn by £500 on my current account. I believe that what they did was transferred the amount that was in my current account at the time I called them into my student account, even though there was less than this when the transfer actually happened, which was the next day.

I didnt realise there was more in my student account and went ahead and spent this money on xmas presents and now...

If you are told by your boss, "Don't let people push your around. If there's such things going on, then send them to me. It's my job to handle wrangling (and political conflicts)." I tend to display weak personality.
I've just completed probationary period and have become a regular at this job.
Being told something like this, should you take this as a waring or just consider it as a need to improve myself?

The house is under her name and our fathers should she just stop paying for the mortgage and wait to be forclosed or call the bank and see if they can work with her? Any feed back will be wonderful.

2 years ago we bought a second home/rental in South Carolina and recently to our shock, we found out that there is zero insulation in the home. We live 900 miles away and at the time of the sale, relied on the realtor to make sure that all was ok. There was an inspection and it passed. But now since we found out that no insulation was installed, we have heard from many local people that the state has a law that when a house is sold, it must have at least 6 inches of insulation or it is in violation of the housing code. Is this true? If so, where do we go to investigate who the crooked person that inspected the home and said it passed? This is very disturbing to us. It is a beautiful home but now are having to invest a bunch of money to have it insulated. The seller completely remodeled it prior to us buying but failed to insulate. Need some information please.
