I get along with my roommates pretty well but I still feel like I want to move out because of some reason! But when I confronted them, they didn't seem to like the idea! I said I will find someone to sublet me on the lease but they said I was being selfish for having them to adapt to a new person! They said if I find someone to sublet, they have to agree to see if they get along well with that person. But what if at the end, they still don't let me off the lease if i find someone to sublet me. The property management saids everyone on the lease must sign and agree in order to let someone off and let someone in. Even I find someone to sublet and they don't let me, can I sue or something? I live in California!

Do not withhold your rent. That action will only get you court action.
You said you dont know why you want to move, so you dont have a valid reason.
Honey, unfortunately, you are stuck in your lease. You didnt say how long you had left, but unless you want to move AND pay rent in two places, you had better stay. Your name doesnt come off the lease until the end even if you get another person to take it over (sublease) and if that person does not pay the rent, you have to. Plus be responsible for any damages he/she may cause.

Ummm....you might consider bringing suit against yourself, since that's your only chance here. When you sign leases or other contracts, you are expected to honor them fully, and not just until the time when you find out you might have made an error. Your roommates do NOT have to agree to let you off this lease, and there is nothing you can do about it. I suggest that you tough it out and start looking to change accommodations when it's time for your lease to expire.

The next time the rent is due, simply refuse to pay your share. Money always talks, and if they want you there so bad they will be just as happy to have you there is you refuse to pay rent. But I am willing to bet that if they see they cannot get any money from you they will change their tunes and only be too willing to get you out of there as fast as possible. Hit them where it hurts, in the pocketbook. That's the only thing most people understand.
