Apart from SBI, which are the best performing mutual funds? When is the right time to invest in mutual funds?

I've been investing for 20 years, and I have never heard of SBI. I take it you must be outside the U.S. I have heard of Vanguard, Fidelity, TRowe Price, etc.

There are many excellent mutual funds out there from which to build a nice portfolio. Just depends on the funds or mutual fund companies available in your location.
