Thats just the thing. Successful entrepreneurs have unique ideas and that is what makes them successful. You have to come up with your own idea. No one who has a good idea will post it here. Rather they will just do it themselves.
The key to starting a successful business venture is to satisfy a consumer need. Perhaps your question should be, "what are you looking to buy, but don't know where it is available?"

Many years ago, when I was much younger than now, a friend and I were at a convenience store and noticed how hard it was to park because the lines were all really faded. He said "how hard could it be to paint those lines?" meaning that the owners should do it.
It took the two of us about 20 minutes to see $ and a biz-op. We researched a little about how it's done, got a customer at that very same store we found the idea at, bought some paint and a roller and a long board and did our first job. With the proceeds, we bought our first mechanical line sprayer.
Over the course of 5-years, we became the leading line striper in the area and developed enough business that we even had a very expensive truck to paint roads with and neither of us actually painted anything any longer.
When I sold my half to my partner at 5 years, the value was enough that it established my retirement fund very well.
The lesson here - we saw a need, we met the need. It was really that simple. Go out with an entrepreneurial open mind and see what needs are in your community. I'm betting that someone already thought of parking lot lines, lawn care, babysitting/daycare, a newspaper, fast-food... find something that your community needs and then deliver that.
My next business was a lingerie store for "BBW" women. This was before the internet so the big women couldn't go online and buy sexy stuff. Darn fine biz-op until the internet came along to compete.
Find the need - meet the need. Be ready to bail or adapt when there's no longer a need. Don't copy anyone else, that need is already met.
Get more education and read trade magazines -- that's what makes it possible for you to see the ops when they present themselves.
Good luck to you...
some people will tell you that most entrepreneurs fail -- they missed the point though, we don't want the safety of a "job", we like the risks. It's just what we do.

Hi Jennifer!
I started my own resume writing service and jewelry business. Both online, but make really great money. I bought both at www.ventureowl.com. The best thing about a internet home based business is the expenses! If you went out and bought a store and inventory, it would cost a ton of money.

Hello Jenifer, hows it going. My question to you is before you decide on what type of business, Are you looking to help yours or help others? Because, money is great, but if you could help others get what they want out of life and you could help yourself get what you want. I know of a Business that does just that, there is no inventory to keep and a low start up fee. But first, what do you want out of life? If you could change anything about your life what would it be? email me if your interested.

If you are saying that you would advertise for the Spanish guys to make them look better? I think that is a great idea!! We had new granite counter-tops installed and the same thing happened to us... I actually sell commercial insurance and I was talking to them about their contracts and no one really markets to them directly... they are forced to go with their GC... like Home Depot or Empire Carpets.

Since online purchases have skyrocketed in the past few years, any e-commerce business seems to be what you are looking for.
You might want to look into Quixtar.com & become an independent business owner (IBO).
Read as much as you can & research all possibilities before making any decisions. You don't want to invest large amounts of money, keep it simple & see what happens.
Good Luck.

Do NOT get involved with Quixtar, Amway, Britt World Wide, WFG, or any company like that! They are all MLM companies, which although legal, are very similar to pyramid schemes.
