Our situation is this, my fiance and I have lived in our new rental property for almost 2 months, and we are planning to move out because we have both been having allergy problems due to the mold that is growing outside of the house, we are unsure if there is mold inside the house itself, but we have to keep the windows closed and the air on because we cannot breathe when we our outside, especially when it rains, and we our wondering if we can break our lease, becasue the landlord is planning on taking us to court due the contract agreement we had originally signed. We are also having problems with the water system, and have had pest problems from before we actually moved into the rental property. These are all problems that were supposed to have been fixed BEFORE we moved into the rental property. Can You Help Us.............

I dont agree with acemil? Whats the difference rather of not its in the inside or the out? that is his property not yours. I work for a homebuilder and even we are resposible for mold in home after it has been sold. I would get somebody out there to make sure the mold is not in your house. Put on a face mask and go outside of the home and take plenty of pictures of the mold you HAVE to have proof there is mold to even put up a fight. Any receipts or anything for your plumbing problems should be present as well. If this is causing problems to your health were you even have to go see a doctor then I would make sure you keep copies of that too. I would talk to an attorney there will listen to you for free and tell you if you have a case or not. Good Luck!

Mold is every where, where it rains alot or is humid. You can't get away from it and not all mold is bad. Most homes in WA, OR, CO, MT have mold on the outside. Its in the trees and in the fall its on the leaves. If you can't breathe when it rains its not the mold. The rain will clean the air. You cant stop the mold from growing outside its part of nature.

The landlord is not responsible for what grows OUTSIDE. The landlord will definitely win on this one, should you elect to move out before lease expiry.
