It all depends upon their situation.
Some girls are "Sex Slaves" and are forced to have sex with clients and see none of the money they earn, it all goes to their 'owners'.
Street prostitutes are the ones that often have a drug habit, and are also the ones to avoid because of STD's. With some they have a "Pimp" or protector who takes a large share of their money and supplies the drugs to them. Others work without a pimp.
Brothel prostitutes (in a legal brothel) see the most of the money they earn. They pay a certain percentage to the brothel for 'overheads' such as condoms, clean towels, clean sheets and other running expenses. This is usually around 10% to 15% of their earnings. The rest they keep. The largest percentage of brothel prostitutes do not take drugs and they are also the cleanest, being tested regularly for STD's.
Cortesians -- High end prostitutes -- Some take drugs while the majority do not as it would spoil their worth. If they work for an agency, the agency usually takes about 20% while the girl takes the rest. Others work alone and pocket all their earnings.
