I want to get my fingers tattooed with a different phase of the moon on each finger. Must like Ozzy's "OZZY" tats on his fingers, but with moon phases. Roughly how much would it cost?

I'm 17, and garduate school this year. As a gift, my "god parents" are going to pay for me to get a tattoo. Im not sure what to get, i want one really bad. I'm just having a dilemma on what i want. I want something to symbolize something, and i know this is usually something only I can come up with, but any ideas? How did you pick yours? Why? I know it's early to ask (considering I graduate in may 2008) but I want to have something well thought out since its going to be embedded on me forever. Thank you in advance.

Does anyone know of a good instructional dvd on learning to tattoo? Or can anyone help me with instructions on how to tattoo myself? I am a professional artist and I have all the equipment I need. I've been working on my tattoo for 3 years now. So I've been watching very carefully. Before I begin I want to make certain I'm doing it correctly. I've honestly had it with tattoo artists' and their attitudes and meanness and quite frankly, their "god complexes'. They've messed up my design by being so possessive and unyeilding; and the egotistic negativity regarding others' art forms. The days of the biker & prison tattoos is over. It is a mainstream "process" now. I believe anyone can learn to do it. If you can draw or trace, with a little instruction on how to use the gun, I think it can be done. So I've just decided to finish my tattoo on my own. So I'm just looking for a dvd on the use and maintenance of the gun and technique. Thank you!

I want a kanji symbol tattoo on my left inner wrist but as I have been reading on here a lot of peole say this is "over done" but the symbol I want really means a lot to me. I was just wondering if it really is as over done as people say and should I just think of something different. Thanx in advance to any positive responses.

that doesn't look fake or yellowish. I would just use a tanning bed, but UV fades colors in tats. Any recommendations?

I am going to get a small/medium sized tattoo on my lower back. I'm new to tattoos so I don't really know how much a good tattoo should cost. So how much?

I know that different places will charge different amounts and details, color, size also play a part, but I'm asking overall. I don't want to be shocked by a price or wondering if my tattoo artist isn't as pro as I thought because it's too cheap.

Well.. I have been putting A&D on it and it's doing great except when I sleep.. I can't seem to stay on my side or stomahe and when I woke up the other morning my shirt was stuck to it.. Yup..it freakin hurt like helllll....So the next night I slept without a shirt and woke up stuck to the sheets... Had to pour warm water on it to get unstuck..

I was told once the inital bandage is off..don't wrap it again, so how do I solve this poblem?? Is it ok to wrap it in a nonstick bandage overnight??

sorta planning a tat for the future... just wondering HOW FAR into tthe future... is getting one while breastfeeding okay? i don't want to risk it while pregnant, but unsure if there's any risks during breastfeeding...

Ok, I have been considering getting a tattoo for a long time but I want exactly what I want, or I don't want it, and I don't know if it is even possible. I am in a sorority and our symbol is a diamond as in a shape like this <> So I want a light blue diamond with white stars in the two corners. I just want blue and white-No black at all.
I want this because it is a symbol of purity, and the symmetry of a balanced life and the stars represent beauty of character and beauty of mind.

I'm getting a tattoo tomorrow and i'm getting alittle nervous.. its my first tattoo so i'm not really sure what pain i can tolerate. I figured since I'm a female and i get really bad period cramps that it wouldnt be that bad since i handle that type of pain well, but im still not sure. So if anyone has had a tattoo on the hip area? could you tell me kinda what it feels like and if its really painful or not?

I dont think its going to hit my hip bone because my tattoo is pretty small. maybe that would make it less painful?
