i have also considered doing this. i figured a tattoo on the neck would be a good insurance policy against a boring life, because you would only be able to get a job at fairly interesting places haha. That's a big plus for me, but it may not be for you. An old fisherman I know has tons of tattoos. He says he loves the ones he considered for three years without changing his mind, and the others not so much. Seems like a good idea.

Not unless you are positive that you are never going to get a job that would require your hair to be pulled back. Just don't get something that would take up more than just the center in the back of your neck....that just wouldn't be a good idea...period.

Definitely NOT your name. I had a roommate who had her own name tattooed on the back of her neck. And it made her look like a complete retard.

I like the astrological signs for tattoos. Also go to google.com and click on Images. Then I'd type in "Tattoos" and look and see if there is anything you like there.

My only opinion is that you choose something meaningful to you. Its on your neck of all places. If ppl get a glimpse of it, let it be something special to you. A symbol to signify who you are, or a favorit saying. :) Good luck!
