Tattoos - August 2007

I want to get a tattoo on my knee.Ok that's weird I know,but there is a reason,I have a horrible 2 inch long 1 inch wide scar on the lower right hand side,it never healed properly and remained slighly raised with an obvious pinkish purple colour,I want to cover it.Trouble is I have no idea what sort of thing would look good on a knee,so I was hoping you guys could give me some design suggestions.

I have had this tattoo on the top of my foot for about a week. its beginning to peel. i got kinda curious and gently lifted up a very small piece of it to see the color underneath. and its a much pailer green underneath as opposed to the bright beautiful green thats on top. im worried when the skin falls off that the colors will be pail colors.....?

I want to get a tattoo on my hip. It would be the outline of a star with a little filled in star in the middle, then two small filled in stars next to it.
The colors I was thinking of were bright green, pink, bright blue, and orange. Each star a different color.

I plan on getting this as a tattoo soon, but I'm not sure where to put it, I was thinking my wrist or arm[Not sure where on my arm, though..] I want it in a noticeable place. Any recommendations?

Also, I would like to add something else to it but I'm not sure what.. It was originally meant for my dog that died awhile ago, but I decided to just use it as a symbol of my love for animals. Does anyone have any ideas??

and no need to tell me it's my body I should decide, I already know that. I just want opinions!

i have a job that requires i wear running shoes. no flip flops allowed. well, i got a tattoo on my foot a week ago and my boss says i need to come into work ASAP. my tattoo is medium sized, it starts on my upper foot and ends about half an inch before my toes. I was thinking tomorrow of going back to work tomorrow. How long before i can wear shoes?

btw.

anyone know any good sites for tatt ideas?

first of all, i am really thinking of getting a tattoo and it will be my first time. i want to ask if tattoo artists would agree to do it on the back of my neck even if it was just an outline of a star (something like this:http://www.rankmytattoos.com/North_Dakota/Bismarck/2687.html) or just a bunch of small starts close together (something like this: https://www.tattoojohnny.com/download-tattoo-design.asp?sku=JPF-00451) . something like a shooting star with star dust following it. i don't want it too big. just something to remind me of my family. also, will it hurt as much if it was just an outline or something small and not much shading?

one last thing, okay this is a stupid question but im worried about my tattoo if ever i get married. i'm only 18 but im thinking ahead. if i get this on my neck i wouldnt want it to show during my wedding. can i put like make-up on it to conceal it? and will it work?

Personally, I think they are nice. I had a friend over the weekend refer to them as 'Tramp Stamps'. I thought that was pretty discriminatory but a funny way of looking at it. But, there is some truth in it. You know when ever a guy sees a lady with one they are not staring specifically at their Tattoos!...LOL

So, what is your opinion of them? Do they signify these women are Tramps, just innocent art or ???............

I want to get a small/medium sized dragon tattoo on the back of my right shoulder.. right on the shoulderblade... but I heard that is one of the worst places to get a tat... && I do not handle pain well... at all... I've never broken a bone or fractured anything I have no idea what it's like.

I want one either on my shoulderblade, near my hip bone or around there... or maybe my upper arm, right before my shoulder.

If any of you guys have gotten one in any of those places.. describe the pain. what could you compare the pain to?

ok ive decided on a small tat behing my ear, but im not sure if that will affect me in the future cause my bf said that some times they wont accept you with a tat but i dont really think itll be that visable but since we have to have our hair pulled up im not so sure. my tattoo artist insists on me putting cling film over my tattoo for 2-3 days,changing it throughout the day,he reckons it helps with healing and keeping the colour bright,what do you guys think?
