I have had this tattoo on the top of my foot for about a week. its beginning to peel. i got kinda curious and gently lifted up a very small piece of it to see the color underneath. and its a much pailer green underneath as opposed to the bright beautiful green thats on top. im worried when the skin falls off that the colors will be pail colors.....?

your tattoo is not finished healing yet!! and don't peel up any of the skin, if it's still attached then you'll likely pull some ink out!! don't judge your tattoo until it has completely healed, and because it is on your foot you may need touchups. also how well you take care of it during healing will affect how it looks once healed. have you worn shoes? hopefully not.

Don't peel it, Don't peel it, Don't peel it!!! Please!
Tattoos peel. Your whole body sheds the top layer of skin once a week anyway. The tattoo just hold the skin on for a few days when you get it done. It may look a little faded for a couple week or so, but by the end of a month it should be back to about how it looked before. If it doesn't, go back to your tattoo artist and get it touched up.
Just make sure you keep putting loition on it a few times a day until it stops peeling.
Oh, and DON'T scratch it.

i've answered this question a bunch of times (look up old answers), no the tattoo isn't fading, it's just new skin under there. I just had my rib cage tattoo finish it's peeling stage, it looks great, don't worry, your tat will be fine! If it still looks faded after it's totally healed, then go back and talk to the artist, but just wait it out till it's fully healed, you can't do anything about it till then anyway.

Don't pull it off, let the scab come off on it's own. When I first got my tattoo, the color was a lot lighter than it appeared previously but, the color was still good. Don't freak out if there is some color on the scab.

I got a tattoo on my foot last year. The same thing happened to me so i called my tattoo artist and he was extremley helpful;
just dont peel it off, if you do it might scar over and make it look even paler. My best advice is to use vaseline lotion or just vaseline to keep it hydrated-that is super important care.

yes tattoos on the top of the foot are very painful i almost fainted 2 times and im usually very good with pain .. but the tattoo artist was really nice about it .. he told me to breathe in when he wasn't tattooing and to breathe out when he was it gives you something to concentrate on besides how much it freakin hurts! after he told me that i was fine

hey, same thing happened to my foot tattoo.....DO NOT peal it! it will make the color worse! start using lotion, that is scent free! i applied it as much as i could through out the day and do not wear shoes at this time! also, no socks!

the area that you see was lighter might have to get touched up, but just keep adding lotion. it will more than likely be lighter than it is now, but that can be fixed with a touch up with your tattoo artist.

goodluck!

do not peel it!!!! the color should be exactly what was used when it heals, if you don;t mess it up by peeling it. you must also remember these colors are not applied to skin that is like white paper, so your own natural skin color may change it slightly

don't worry it always dulls up when you are peeling..just continue to keep it moisturized and DON'T let it scab! It'll return to it's beautiful bright green after it's completely healed!

ITS POSSIBLE FOR THAT TO HAAPEN ,BUT FOR THE MOST PART YOU WILL NEVER REALLY KNOW WHAT THE COLOR WILL BE LIKE UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY HEALED.
