Getting a tattoo on the hand is not dangerous if you get it done professionally...but that goes for all tattoos.
And yes, the tattoos on the hands may make it harder to get a job. If you really want it, go for it. Just get some cover-up makeup or long sleeves when you need to cover it up for work is all.
The downfall for getting a tattoo on the hands is sometimes the ink just doesn't wanna stay in, which results in one or more touch-ups. Also, like foot tattoos, the hands are susceptible to infection considering how much we use our hands. So keeping your hands clean at all times and away from any chemicals during the healing process is very important.
Good luck to you and your sister, I hope it turns out great.

Dangerous?? No no not as long as it is done by professionals. But take in mind that visible tattoo's can make it harder to get a job in many lines of work. And be assured that it is something you can live with for the rest of your life. Because after all its going to be on your hand you cant really hide it. Good Luck

It's not dangerous. Get a reputable artist to do it and you'll be fine!
The only other things are that your hands are very sensitive, so expect it to be somewhat painful or uncomfortable. Also, keep in mind you will probably have to get it touched up at LEAST once...ink doesn't tend to hold on the hands or feet as well as other parts of the body.
Good luck babe! :)

It might open you up to people biased against tattoos, i'd pick a different spot. But no, it's not dangerous, done by a competent tattooist.

I haven't heard of it being "dangerous", but it can make getting jobs and such difficult, especially if it is a larger tattoo.
Good luck. :)

Be aware of the biases about visable tattoos. And also be aware that when you have kids, other children may be unkind about your tats to your kids.
I love the idea of this tattoo tho!
