I plan on getting this as a tattoo soon, but I'm not sure where to put it, I was thinking my wrist or arm[Not sure where on my arm, though..] I want it in a noticeable place. Any recommendations?
Also, I would like to add something else to it but I'm not sure what.. It was originally meant for my dog that died awhile ago, but I decided to just use it as a symbol of my love for animals. Does anyone have any ideas??
and no need to tell me it's my body I should decide, I already know that. I just want opinions!
Thanks!

I had a rule way back when I was 18. It's real simple. You dont know where your life will take you and tattoos aren't exactly accepted in most professional environments. With that said, put it somewhere that if you had to easily cover it with an article of clothing, you could.
As for adding to the current design, I would go with a 5 needle liner to make the black outline ver bold, then inside the paw print maybe do a scene with a sunset, or a place that you used to walk your dog. As for placement, you are a female so stay away from the belly/hip area if you every decide you want to have kids. Off the top of my head, I would say make it slant to the right and put it to the right of your spine on your lower back, or slanted on your shoulder blade, or centered between your shoulder blades just below the neckline.

When I was first going through my tattoo decision making process, I thought of every single place EXCEPT where it is now. For arms... you can't wear long sleeved clothing every day for the rest of your life... what if you get a job where visible tattoos aren't allowed? You're going to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes? What if you get refused a job because of visible tattoos. I feel that as gorgeous as tats are, they shouldn't be gotten solely to "show off." Think about where you'll be in a years time, then 5 years, then 10 years. Tattoos are for life and people are often to caught up in the initial moment of getting a tat, they don't REALLY, TRULY consider this. Personally, if I got a tattoo like that, I would put it on my mediastinum, where your heart is, but not on a boob. lol I'm sure you know what I'm saying! (Anyway, it's a beautiful tattoo and idea!)

I like the general shape/idea of it ..if you had them spruce it up and maybe add some color. I think it'd be cute where you suggested (and no I dont think it looks trashy). It also might look cute on your chest or back. I think with some color you wouldnt really need to add much, maybe a flower or 2 in the background, but it'd be fine alone too.

i don't know why you would want that tattoo to be visible... i probably never will understand why people get paw print tattoos!!! yikes. i understand your love for animals and your dog that you lost but there are surely better tattoo images that you could get to convey that emotion. i have decided that when my dogs pass away i'll get a tattoo that actually means something to me about them... not sure what yet but probably a little dog house with a ball and a piece of meat. it'd be unique and meaningful.
good luck with whatever you decide tho.

You should put it in a place where you can easily cover it up with clothing. Not all work environments are accepting of tattoos, so you need to be aware of that. Maybe on your back somewhere.

I think u should skip the thing. It is wrong. Think about it when u r older u might still have this weird tatto. That will be so embarrasing when you are a parent. Get real. Being popular by getting a tatto is so lame. Be yourself - the tattoo.

An artist can definately spruce up the design... about the placement, what about a place on your body where your dod would jump up on you? that way it could be like his pawprint on you.

I think it would look cute on your shoulder blade, that way you can show it off, but you can also hide it if you ever need to.

Well my opinion is...girls with tattoos on there arms look trashy. i have 3 of them one on my chest and 2 on my legs. But if it is done right on the arm then it wont be so bad. Maybe the inner forearm would be good. Ask the tattoo artist what they think would look good around it. Maybe your dogs name under it. Something like that. I love tattoos!!
