At 16 years old you are too young to get a tattoo, no matter what the law says. You are not at a point where you can really know how you will feel about things in the future. I don't think that you will love that tattoo forever, I think you will regret it a few years down the road. That thing is ugly.

1) If you live in North America, you won't be able to get a tattoo until you're 18, even with a parent there. I'm not sure about other countries, but that's just a fact.

2) The lower back, even if it doesn't apply to you, is well known as a place for girls to get generic sexy tattoos, which is dull and unoriginal. It's common to see girls with stuff like that. It's bold and interesting to get an arm, leg, or chest tattoo.

3) You should think of your own tattoo rather than get something generic that you know for a fact that other women have it. You said you want something egyptian, so why not get some hyroglyphics or symbolism?

4) You're only 16, and you don't know if you will always like it. I changed a TON between the age of 16 and 18, and I got my first tat at 18. The tattoos I wanted at age 16 were ones I know I would regret now, mostly as they were based on things I was into then but am not anymore. But because I waited until I was 18 and in college, I had the sense to get an aesthetic tattoo that related to my birthdate and had symbolism from my childhood.

Consider an ORIGINAL tattoo design that applies to something about you that won't change (horoscope symbol, heritage/ancestry, etc) and base a tattoo around that so that there's no change of you outgrowing the subject matter.

I think you're too young, but that's my personal opinion. If you want it so badly now, you'll still want it in a few years.

Ignore the idiots that call it a 'tramp stamp', get a tattoo where you want it, not where others say it's okay to have it.

As for the actual tattoo, while I do love her tattoo I'd prefer to get something original. If somebody copied a tattoo I had, a tattoo I'd put a lot of effort into designing, I wouldn't be too happy. Why not choose something personal to you, not something personal to Anastacia. But then I prefer my tattoos to be original, I realise not everyone else does.

i love tattoos and i don't see anything wrong with other people getting them. however, the fact that you're only 15 and have chosen a piece of art that is on another person's body (instead of creating your own for it's own personal meaning) to duplicate on yours, changes my mind about it being okay for anyone (especially those under 18) to get a tattoo. i know it's your body, although your parents are legally responsible for you until you're 18... but i just hope you "love" this tatt when you turn 27. you state that you have thought it over completely, but at 15 or even 16 it's almost like a purchase for instant gratification... as if you just "got to have it" just because. of course you asked for our opinions and that's my personal thought... the good thing is when you get a little older and may change your mind about the tatt you share with anastasia, you could always add to it or cover it up.

good luck.. i do think it's a nice tatt though :-)

Yeah I'd stay away from the lower back stuff too. Also that design is pretty lame anyways. I'm so not trying to sound mean, just trying to save you from yourself. Your ankles a good spot, plus if you don't like it down the road it's not like it's too noticeable anyway. When I was 18 I got a tat of praying hands with a rosary around them, on my shoulder blade. Granted I'm only 20 now, Jesus isn't going anywhere so that works out

I dont think you should get a tattoo when you're 16. I think you should wait a couple of years and think about what you really want and get something that has a lot of meaning to you. Not just something you pick off a website cause you like it. You'll probably regret it later and think why on earth did I get that? So just wait.

I think getting a tattoo when you're 16 is extremely stupid. I'd love a tattoo, but I'd never get one when I turn 16, next year by the way. Whatever. Do what you want, just rest assured that you WILL regret it. And don't get a tramp stamp. It doesn't make you a tramp, but it's in the name, and I've only known sluts with them.

I think for your first tattoo get it somewhere else, like on your shoulder blade. I mean the lower back is sexy and all, I am just not sure appropriate for a 16 year old.
