Would it be ok to use Aveeno Daily Moisturizing with oatmeal? A few people told me to use vitamin E, I was just wondering if I could use Aveeno.

When I run out of the ointment that I got at the tattoo parlor, what is the best lotion to use? I read the active ingredient and its petroleum should i just go get some Vaseline and use it?

I have tattoos now, and I love them, but they aren't visible with normal clothing. Lately, I have been very tempted to get a verse or something on my inner forearm as a reminder. I am a nurse...if you woke up from surgery and saw someone with a tattoo message on their inner forearm would you be uncomfortable? Would a visible tattoo have ramifications in my professional career?

For anyone with more than one tattoo, please tell me the locations of all of your tattoos and which one was the most painful.

I do realize that pain tolerance is different for everyone, I just want to see if there is a common location that is most hurtful.

i got a tattoo saturday and its scabbing and i havent picked at it at all and ive been keeping it clean and moisturized. ive been using ths A&D still cuz one part is really sore and a little red and puffy so ive been using that to keep it from getting infected..anywhoo theres one part in the middle of the ribbon where the blue seems to be lighter then the rest.is that cuz the rest is still all scabbed over or did the scab fall off (may have gotten scratched by my dog) and pull the ink out? and the black parts of my tattoo are kinda grayish..they arent really black like they were saturday...is it normal for the ink to fade? thanks in advance

I am 6'2" 200lbs. pretty muscular, fair skinned.. I've been contemplating getting a tattoo, and I am all for it, however I am having trouble deciding on location...Where do you think the most flattering part of my bod should I put it... I was thinking tricep, upper back-shoulder blade area. maybe on the leg... or maybe on rib cage (side)... what are you opinions??

I am invited to a shower and wedding, and in the past this never bothered me, but now I've been thinking about it is probably because the people I'd be around are old fashioned and kind of snobbish. I want to get my first tattoo on my foot.....i know its supposed to be realllllyyy painful!....i want to get a blue butterfly i already have a pic of it, but i also want to add those sparkling looking stars and swirly lines to it.....i know how i want it all 2 look, but i suck at drawing!....if i let the person know and they draw something up, do they charge for that???...and if i dont like the drawing...do they draw another one and then charge again??? I got an industrial piercing done 2 days ago, and was wondering if anyone who had gotten theirs done that the barbell balls were directly on the skin, and after a few days swelling went down and there was room between the skin and ball, because I heard that keliods form from too tight barbells, and getting a keliod is a huge fear of mine.

Ok so I have finally pretty much decided what and where I want to get my tattoo.

The design is this:

The only change is that inside will be either the word faith or the word love I am not sure yet.

My questions are:

1. About how long would a tat like this take of actual tattooing time? Then what about all the placement and care instructions other stuff that has to happen before and after? How long will it probably take total?

2. How much, about, do you think this tattoo would cost? I live in the US, north Florida to be more specific. Its all black ink. Umm I know other things effect price like the artist/shop doing it and all but just a ballpark figure would be great.

I am looking for the proper symbol for my next tattoo. I have been all over the web and many sites have different symbols for a dragon and for fire. I am the year of the dragon, the fire dragon to be specific. So I either want to get a tattoo of the dragon symbol or both together. Even for the dragon alone, every site has something different. What is a reliable site, so I get the true meaning? I can't decide if I want the tattoo on my neck or hip either, what do you think?

What are some tattoos that you are soooooo glad that you didn't get?

Mine is from when I was 17.
I learned from some friend that the prostitues in ancient rome used to tattoo follow me (in latin of course) up their leg.
I thought that was so cool, I really wanted to get it, but my parents vetoed that, and luckily I got over it.
