my naval (belly button), got it done around '97, or '98. regret it because I can never NOT wear it now, I have both gained and lost weight, also was pregnant, and even though it will close without something in it, I will always have the big ugly scar on the outside. Trust me, 10-ish years ago, it did not appear to be "scarred" like this, now it's there forever. BIG Mistake!!!

I don't regret piercings, because I can always remove them.
The only ones I don't like are my first earholes, which I had done when I was little, with a piercing gun because I didn't know any better, they have scar tissue all around them, and I wish I could go back and have gotten them later with a needle. I'm still really glad that I got them though.
The only piercing I ever retired was my monroe, and I did that because when I got it done I was in high school and NOBODY had them. Well about a month after I got mine about 4 other girls got them. That was a little freaky for me, so I decided to get rid of it.

I have 9 tattoos. One was recently covered (an ugly little Garfield just above the crack of my behind), and one was my first one and I had it added to at a later date. So I've gone under the ink needle 11 times. The only ones I DON'T regret are the most recent cover-up (a beautiful blue butterfly) and the addition to my first tattoo, which is an angel representing my daughter. The rest, I fondly refer to as 'mistakes of my youth'. I do have one that I particularly despise: my EX-husband's name on my bikini line. I know I could either remove it or have it covered, but covering it would be extremely painful (not much into the pain any longer at my age) and to have it removed would be extremely expensive (not much into THAT pain at my age, either). So I'm stuck with it. I try to look at it as a reminder to look very closely before I leap.

I LOVE MY PIERCINGS!
that being said, i do regret getting my nipple pierced. only becos it was a spur of the moment choice, at a bad parlour, and it got infected, and grew out in 2.5 months.

My tounge. It was horrible!!! All of my friends got it and me being a follower had to get it to. Nobody else had any pain or problems with there's but of course I bled for hours and it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I would rather have my entire body tattooed in one shot then get my tounge pierced again!!!!!

Not so much regret- but my septum. I coughed, he missed and hit a nerve to my sinuses and they haven't been the same. Healed nicely, since I had to remove it (through the cartilage in my nose). Not Fun, but I loved it while I had it.

I had my ears pierced, BIG MISTAKE.
My pierced ears grew keloids (scar tissue).
I've had surgery to remove them,
they grew back.

Then they were removed again.
I had plastic surgery, and radiation treatment.

My Doctor advised me to be careful
about being in an accident, and not
to have surgery unless it was a matter
of life, or death. :-I

And now,
my left ear is keloid, it grew back AGAIN.
I'm not having it removed this time.

Keloid skin runs in the family,
and they don't listen.
I see, and talk about their scars,
marks and keloid tattoos with them.
