The price is always
set by the artist. It doesn't
cost a thing to ask...

The price depends on a lot of factors, such as how big the tattoo is, how many colours are involved and whether the colours are already available (typical colours like blue, red etc) or if they need to be mixed and made up. Mixed colours cost more. Some places will charge more if you bring your own design too. And also how much detail the tattoo requires. My sister had a colourful tattoo of her own design done on her arm which cost her £120, but a friend had a heart and a name done on her ankle for less than £20.
You could go into any tattooist with the design you want and ask them, they will all charge a slightly differing price, so you could shop around!

as with everything, quality costs more. it's hard to say without knowing what you're going to be getting and what artist you'll be going to. many artists these days charge by the hour (mine does) but some charge by size and detail. if i had to GUESS i would say that a half sleeve done by a good artist could cost between $400-$1,000. it does all depend on the artist and what you get.
i have never had a tattoo cost more or less depending on the colors that were being used and don't go to a tattoo artist that only has a couple of colors and has to "mix" colors to get a variety.
good luck.

all depends on the artist.
i have a small one, about 1-2 inches in diameter and it was $120.
then, i have a bigger one that was the same price, not much detail but a TON of color.
it all depends on where you live and the artist.
a tattoo in miami is going to cost more than some small town in the middle of nowhere.
just shop around and find someone who you mesh with and who you feel good about. then, work something up with them and let them know that you're just wondering about cost.
i would expect at least $200+ for 50% of your arm.
oh, and don't forget to tip!

Hi there, you can't put a price on a well done tattoo, Good tattoo's are not cheap, cheap tattoo's are not good.
I have over half my body covered in tattoo's and have spent thousands.
Expect to pay up to 200 quid for a complete tattoo
Hope this helps

Tattoos are the one thing that you cant really estimate on here - you need to visit a few places to get quotes - make sure you go on recommendation - Ive had 2 small ones done at the same place as they were pretty cheap, but for more detailed ones I go somewhere different.
Ask around for work colleagues/friends who have had them & go somewhere popular - its worth paying a little extra for - after all, its gonna be there for life!

Around £300 - £400 Usually tattooists set their rate per hour as opposed to the size that the design is going to cover. Although I wouldn't worry about the pricing too much, remember you will have this tattoo for life! If I were you I would shop around for the best tattooist who will definetly not be the cheapest.

It will depend on the artist, what they charge and if they have a rate. Small ones I've had have been about £40 so you could be looking at £200, but thats a wild guess! You would be better getting a consultation on it

My tattoo artist charges by the hour. He is considered one of the best in northern California and he charges $120 an hour. High? Yes----but a good tattoo ain't cheap and a cheap tattoo ain't always good.
