im from california and i just recently moved to michigan for college..i will be 18 in a few weeks..i have a california drivers license so will i be able to use that when i get a peircing here..or do i need a michigan license or id.

ok sounds a little funny but the problem is that i am staying at home when i attend the first two years of college and i am almost 18 however when i talked to my dad about it he said if you do that where are you going to stay , not here? thats the problem what can i do and has this happened to anybody else?

I need an idea of the number of hours a tattoo similar to this will take:

Maybe not as big because I'm a female and not those exact birds but it will still be black.

I wanted to know the price so I went to my tattoo artist the other day but he wouldn't give me a definite number, though he said they would be charging per hour.


I live near Philadelphia, if this helps.

I'd also like to know the appropriate tip.

I just got a new tattoo on Sunday (its now thursday) and for the first time i am using H2Ocean Cream. It stings when i out it on. Its the only thing i'm using besides soap and water when i shower. Is this Normal???

does it hurt? AND can you get it on the bottom side of your wrist close to where your hand begins? or can you not because the needle thing can go in to your vein and bloodstream because your veins are so close to the surface there?

Does anybody know of any wbsites that I can look on that has brilliant tattoo pictures. Butterflies and pretty ones with lots of colour. I'm getting a new tattoo very soon and I want to really think about what I'm getting this time and really love it. I do love my other two but I want this one to be brilliant!! Thanks -x-x-

Just last week, I had my first tattoo done on my lower back - and yes it hurt like hell. But the artist decided not to finish off the rest of the design that had to be done as the first half hour into the tattoo, I nearly past out. However I really want to go back and have the rest of it done but I am a bit apprehensive. To me the pain was like someone running razor blades across my back. And yes I have been through child birth and at the time I would rather go throught that again. But I went on my own to get my first tattoo done, and am considering taking a frined with me next time. What are your thoughts on numbing cream. Can it affect the ink? Does your body go into some sort of shock??

I know people say its art and yell about how could ask how much is costs, but I don't have unlimited supplies of money I just want to be prepared and have enough cash.
I am thinking on my leg shin and calf, fairly large but not entire leg.
so average price for color?
and average price for black and gray?

I've had roughly 5 laser treatments for my tattoo. It is fading, but I'm curious as to whether putting a skin lightening cream in conjunction with my treatments will help fade it faster? This would be of course just to spare myself added surgery (expenses) as well as pain (the tattoo is on my back and the surgery feels worse every time).

Just wondering if anyone has done this/recommends this?
If not, is there anything else I can do to move it along?

The people who shop for "tattoos" ("hip tattoos," "bum tattoos") like soccer mom shops for diet soda in the supermarket....
The people who choose tattoo designs like they're choosing new drapes for their suburban living room...
....who don't realize that "temporary tattoo" is an oxymoron...
....who want to match their tattoo work to their environment like The Gap matches its wallpaper....
...who think "laser surgery" is a viable solution to the permanence of tattoos......
...who follow the lead of reality TV shows....
....who try to pretend it just popped into their brain to get the same tattoo they saw in a magazine...and it wouldn't pop into anyone else's head....or who even read magazines...

Ok so i'm 19 and i work in the medical field (male) and for the longest time ( I've THOUGHT ABOUT THIS! ALOT!) i've wanted to get tattoo's of stars going up my forearms... i was bored one day at work so i decided to grab a pen and i did up lol so here's what it looked like. I'm getting a tattoo on my back and it has a small nautical star black and blue so now i'll change it and have at least one nautical star on each forearm. So here's what i want to know

1. Since i work in the medical field will i have to constatly covert it up and be in long sleeve shirts and thermals? What's your opinion?

2) What do you guys think about the stars... i'm not 100 percent sure as to if i want more added but for now i have this... for sure though i want them going smaller to bigger starting at the writst so.. was thinking maybe just the stars.. ideas are appreciated.

I want a tattoo (and have for quite some time) but everyone is telling me not to because it will ruin my "sweet, classy persona". I want to be classy but I get the impression that tattoo and classy don't go together. What do you think?

Also. Because i'm doing it for very personal meaning, I wanted to put it small and close behind my ear. I also am thinking of putting it on my shoulder blade.

If i were to put it behind my ear so that you couldn't see it unless my hair was tightly pulled back, would this really effect a job?

These days you'd be hard pressed to find a cute girl who doesn't have a tattoo on her ankle, her shoulder, near her crotch, or the standard "tramp stamp" on her lower back. And if I had a nickel for every tribal arm band tattoo I've seen on guys trying to look hardcore, I'd be a rich man! Not to mention that every single town in this country with a population of over 5000 people has a tattoo shop! So what's the deal? If EVERYBODY tries to be individual by getting tattoos, then what's the point? Or is that the whole idea? To be "individual" like everybody else?

ive been searching around for new tattoo ideas, and came up with one, i would like to have some other opinions on what you think. it would be on my foot, in either caligraphy or some type of script lettering and would say in latin "Amor Est Vitae Essentia" which in english means "love is the essence of life" and on each side would be a pink/white lily (white w/ pink in middle) dont know if i did a good job explaining that or not, but if i could get some other peoples inputs that would be awesome! :o)

i just got an enormous tattoo on my arm. its almost an entire half sleeve. i actually just got it this afternoon. it took about three hours just for the outline and the shading. i absolutely love it, but the pain, soreness and stiffness has actually prevented me from having a good night sleep. my boyfriend is the tattoo artist but has little sympathy for me, considering this was free! haha. any suggestions as to how i can relax, get rid of the pain and fall back asleep?
