does it hurt? AND can you get it on the bottom side of your wrist close to where your hand begins? or can you not because the needle thing can go in to your vein and bloodstream because your veins are so close to the surface there?

I call it a legal high...the endorphins respond to the pain of the needle and you leave the shop with a euphoric feeling.

Depending on where you get a tat it can hurt - the inner wrist hurts like hell....... the closer to your palm the more pain you feel.

You honestly should NEVER get a tattoo from you elbow and below - you will never be allowed to join any armed forces, get a government job, and possible a regular job.

A great place to start to get a first tattoo would be on your upper arm - least pain.

Think of it like this - tender skin and fatty skin hurts the worse.

i don't think there's any danger of getting a tattoo anywhere on your body. My friend got the nautical star on her wrist and so did my other friend. The needle goes into the layers of the skin just deep enough to get the ink to stay and mark it permanently. so there are no dangers in getting it near your vains.. some people get full body suites so yea you can definetly get it there. .. i know they wont do the bottom of ur feet and probably not your hands cause the skin is caloused..

Pain - it depends on the person, the location, the size, etc.

I have 27 and only one really bothered me (got it last week) -- and that is on the bottom side of the wrist like you mention. The skin is very thin there so it is much more sensitive. I didn't bleed either.

I just got #27 yesterday on my forearm and it didn't hurt at all.

it does hurt, and it hurts even more around the wrist then say, the for-arm. They can tattoo there as well, people do it all the time. I'm sure if you looked on line you could find plenty of pictures of people with wrist tattoos. But yes, it hurts.

It feels like a sunburn. And after a few minutes, just like a sunburn, you don't really notice the pain anymore.

And you can get it where you want to. The ink typically used is perfectly safe. I would caution against placing it where you are considering if it is your first tatoo. Typically you want your first one in a spot that you can cover and that has more flesh so the pain is less rather than more.

yea you can get it there, i got my first tattoo a couple months ago and to describe the pain, take a sharp razor blade and cut into your skin, not deep, just kinda graze it, i cringed a lot but it wasnt s bad that i cried or anything, plus the amount of pain depends opn your pain tolerence. getting it on your wrist is gonna hurt alot more than other places, but hey its all gonna hurt so why not!

Just think about it - tattoos are a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling.
