I went into one of these establishments, and ordered "fish" and "chips"...

The fish was fine, a little dry, but at least it was fish...when I checked for my chips, I found that they had swapped my chips for some steak fries...

What kind of shotty business practice is this?

OK.. My husband has been separated from his ex for 4 years and had been divorced for about a year. He has ALWAYS suspected that his son of 6 wasnt his. He is now thinking about geting a DNA test done. He says no matter what the test says he will always love his son like he was his own. I am 24 years old, and I work doing therapy with adolescents. Because of my background, I decided to check out what kind of advice these teens were getting. I can't believe some of the things these people are saying to them! I am outraged. If you have nothing productive to say to these teens who feel like they are going through terrible difficulties, then just don't post. No one deserves these snide put downs, especially those struggling through such a difficult time in their lives. And for those of you who have productive things to say, I'm saying thank you, on behalf of those you've assisted.

Religious Person: The lord sure made those mountains pretty!

Atheist: No, actually glaciers made them. [northern Illinois]

RP: Well, god made the glaciers.

A: No, extreme amounts of compacted snow did.

RP: Well, god caused the snow.

A: Not really, snow is cause by the drop in atmospheric temperature.

RP: And god made the temperature drop!

A: No really. The Earth's unusual, elliptical orbit caused the earth to move farther from the sun, causing the temperature drop.

RP: Well, you know, god moved the earth!

A: Actually not. The Earth moves in relationship to the sun's gravitational effect as it moves through space.

etc., etc., etc.....

Notice the religious person changed their story 4 times and the atheist did not change the story even once. Who will YOU trust?
Me? I'll take the science any day.

Has anyone read the book "American Theocracy" by Kevin Phillips? What are your thoughts about it? For those who haven't and nonetheless want to give their opinion, here is what he says:

1. That religion is dangerously intertwined with US foreign policy
2. That the US Army has become some sort of security service for oil wells and the ways through which it is transported all over the world.
3. That Bush thinks that God wanted him to become president.
4. That many people and politicians in the US believe the "war on terror" is part of the pre-Rapture-Armageddon setting.

Its very annoying they make me feel like im not as pregnant as someone who is showing more than me. this is my second child and with my first child I carried small as well i thought it would be different since I am having a girl now and my first child is a boy but I am carrying the same, is something wrong with me or the baby!
The doctor said I am going to have another 7 pounder and thats the same weight my son was when he was born! help!

My husband's mother's side of the family are JW. His uncle, who went to "hall" (thier church) 3 times a week just committed a gruesome suicide. okay, my door closes but not tight, and the stupid dog just pushes it with her head and comes in whenever she pleases. it's SOOO annoying!!! i tell her NO and say GO AWAY!!! but she does it anyways. she mostly does it when she's scared to hide under my bed. ugh. i don't have a lock on my door, so yeah. :S ughhh.

Even if it's not the president or congress that issue driver's, on a matter like this, why can't they voice their disapproval or approval? Why won't they go on record?
