I moved to NYC a bit ago to attend college, and left my cat with my mother in Perth, Australia. She's moving now, and can't take the cat where she is going. How do I get my cat over here? Who do I contact, etc? Any information would be very helpful... Thanks so much!

I'm an expert on fencing, and I do want to learn this exotic Japanese arts of swordmanship.

What inspired me is the movie Kill Bill, watching how the Japanese really appreciate their swords ... Japanese swordmanship is very different form her western counterpart. There's something that I can't explain in words....

In short, where could I learn and master this Samurai swordmanship? Should I go to Japan directly here?

PS: I know about Kendo, another Japanese martial arts using bamboo as weapon. No, I mean a real Samurai sword here....

And BTW, is it legal to bring Samurai sword everywhere in Japan? Because from what I see in Kill Bill, it seems that the Japanese doesn't mind to take their sword with them in public places (airport, night club, etc....). Is it true then?

I have a vacation planned for the next weekend in Vishakapatnam. In light of the bad coastal weather prevailing I’m trying to figure out whether I need to cancel it. I couldn’t find a good online resource. Can someone (especially from Vizag) provide me with some information.

I wanted to know whether it’s safe to go there and will I be able to enjoy the beach…

I’ve been reading several answers suggesting whether we should stay at the Greek section or not, due to certain insults, reports & violations occurred.
I strongly believe that everyone has the right to express his opinion freely, and any disapproval should be expressed civilized through dialogue and arguments.
I don’t believe though that I should abandon a section I really enjoy, only because some people are not educated enough to understand the above.
What do you think???

person to represent you in peace negotiations, who would it be?

So who would Israelis and Jews have confidence in?

And who do Muslims and Arabs think could secure a fair and lasting peace?

As always let's keep it nice and respectful to all...!

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English" .
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft " c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f".
This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter. In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double leters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united Urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas. If zis mad you smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl

I flew to Boston this weekend to check out the area. Some guy kept feeling up my leg on the train. Anyway, I noticed a few odd things about the people there. First, there are no Mormon people, but a ton of Jewish people. Also, there are no Mexicans but many Dominicans, Cubans etc. There are not many blondes; most people are brunettes, and people are generally meaner. They're always in a hurry, even if it's just to grab a donut. Some people don't own cars, they just use public transportation. It also seems that fashion is more about covering up and less about having a hot body. What else should I look out for? I don't own any coats.
