not like a place that still keeps slaves or anything. just a town out in the middle of nowhere where people grow their own food and hunt their own food and just have one store and a one road downtown area.

Although its not the first place that comes to mind when you think of the word Holiday (USA: Vacation), Iran has some amazing historical places to visit.

Does anyone know which tour operators fly there, and any possible places that should be visited once there?

Hi, there is a new regulation by the US Department of Travel which allows US citizens to travel to Mexico and bordering coutries without a passport through September 30th 2007. This is due to a back up of Passport applications ... I will be traveling to Mexico on September 30th and will actually be in Mexico without a US passport (until its mailed to me back home in 4-6 weeks, I will then have my mother mail it to me in Mexico). I have 2 questions ... 1) will travel be easy in Mexico without a Passport? Will hotels or places that serve alcohol ask to see my passport? and 2) suppose my mother throws away my mail with the passport in it ... I know I cant enter the US without the US passport, but would I be able to travel the world still? Like to Australia and Europe? Do I need to get a Mexican Passport? Or in Mexico, do you not need a Passport to travel Internationally? Thanks for the intelligent answers, Im not looking for "well then youre screwed" comments.

I have a small picture that I can't seem to post in here but these are all the clues i can see/I've been given:
It's in Europe
It seems to be either in a downtown area or really close. There are plenty of shops around.
The colors are mostly beigish stone and reddish shingles on occasion.
There is a big fountain infront of it with a statue of what could be a man on a horse [but could be something else, picture is so small!]
It seems to have a big clock in the front.
There seems to be a guard/watch tower but it could be part of the design...
I know that this could apply to many castles or fortresses but if anything slips into mind please let me know! Thanks!

Honestly, I'm not. It's not the shopping and all that partying...it's something else very personal. I dread the coming of this December. Already I'm bracing myself for many a cold lonely nights.

"What might be some of the reasons for a tourist leaving a tour before it is finished? How should a guide handle this?

1.The reason due to personal illness, job or urgent matter at home and some special reason. After discussion of the travel and organizing agencies, the tourist can quit the tour group and obtain a refund for the services not yet received..

2.The tourist has no special reason, just beacuse some request can't satisfy, the guide should persued them not to quit the group. If due to our obligation,we should try our best to make up.If the tourist put forward unreasonable request and insist that he is unable to obtain a refund for the service not yet received.

3.If the travel agency and services are too bad,it can lead the whole tour group to quit, this condition is too troublesome, and it can be deal with according to regulation."

My big sister has been my rock my entire life. She is always looking out for me. We are four years apart, she'll do anything for me. Two years ago, my husband and I fell on hard times, she took me in while my husband went to stay with his brother's. And next year she will be turning 50 years old. I want to make her feel as special as she is always making me.

I will award the "Best Answer" title to the one who can explain the cruise industry to me. I'd like to focus on reuniting my sister with her oldest and best friends. And I need things spelled out for me.

A fall cruise on a really nice yacht for twenty to forty of her closests friends would really be nice. The destination is unclear because I'm not really sure where she'd like to go. Because after thirty some years of marriage and raising one amazing son, I really don't think she has any real idea what she wants.

Any middle age wives and mothers who can relate, tell me where you'd go to celebrate your 50th.
