I love December. The holidays AND my birthday are both in December. It is special for me. Usually, it means I get a vacation too. I work so hard and so much that I cherish my downtime.
COLD lonely nights? In Houston? haha You can forget the cold part.
Just kidding. I personally know about lonely nights. Believe in yourself and your relationship, if it is still long distance. I am sure it is only a matter of time before you are together. Hope, and believe and use your phone whenever you need to use it.

I am eagerly awaiting Christmas. It is my favorite time of the year. And as someone 50+, I have mastered the art of shopping for Christmas without having to rush - - - I buy things all the time, yes, year-round, and put them in storage so I can just pick from this inventory. Truth to tell, I have persons in mind when I pick up something. I pick up things while on foreign travel, or sometimes some mugs or pottery from Ugu Bigyan when I am in Quezon. Or some woodcarving when in Paete.
For those I am unable to buy personalized gifts, there is always Becky's Kitchen.
Come the best day of the year - - - Christmas, I just enjoy the fun my guests are having. Usually, we set up a huge tent (parachute) in our backyard in Baguio and have noche buena at 6-9 degrees Celsius. We have, as part of the "handa", puto bumbong, bibingka, and tea. I tell you, the callos and the adobo end up as food for next day's lunch.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Agua, I feel the same way. I don't want to hear about Christmas until the end of October. When in the US, I used to do my shopping in the last week before Christmas, Now, it's even more disaster. Pls no lonely nights for you...... Especially cold ones.

I'm ready for the 13th month pay, that's for sure. But I'm not ready for the gift-shopping. I always have difficulty picking which gift I should buy for whom.
So no, I'm not ready for Christmas yet. But the shop owners from all around sure seem to be excited. They have Christmas decor already.

I'm ready for the cold air, a welcome respite from the hot days we often have here. What I'm not ready for are the presents I will be giving this year. There are 2 additions to the family so that means additional gifts to prepare. And to think I'm a messy shopper.

Not yet but will start preparing soon. Go to Australia in December and you will not experience cold nights. Why? It's summer here.
