Yes I know of two at the moment.
Ton Hanks, Jodie Foster and Steven Spielberg are in Cairns and Port Douglas, Qld area now filming 'The Pacific'.
You just missed out on being an xtra - they wanted 1000 people for the movie.
Half of it is to be shot North Qld and the rest in Melbourne.
And Nicole Kidman is in Bowen, Qld now filming, but can't remember the name of that one. Might even be finished.
Vin Diesel also arrived in Cairns today although not sure if he's in the movie or just partying.

In response to K Bear's answer above, the movie Nicole Kidman is shooting in Bowen at the moment is directed by Baz Lurhman and is an epic film called Australia, I think. Hugh Jackman is in it too.
Also, the sequel to Superman Returns will be filmed in Fox Studios and various locations in Sydney (and possibly Tamworth depending on whether they decide to show the Kent Farm), but that will start in about a year or so. The release date for that film isn't until 2009. Superman Returns was shot in Sydney, Tamworth and Fox Studios in Sydney. You can even see the bus stop where I catch the bus home from uni during the week (during the scene where the crowd is outside the hospital).
