Zipcodes for San Antonio are 78201 - 78299 if you need a zip code for an address use this site:
zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp
Otherwise leave the code off as it will have to hand sorted whether you put the wrong code on or leave it off.

There is zip code for shipping and mail: That ranges from 78201-78299 and a few others for outside of the city.
There is an area code for the telephone service: That is 210
and 830 outside of the city.
Sometimes people get it confused.
To get the zip code of an address do the following:
-Go to www.google.com
-In the search bar type in the address you want to find the zip
-Example: 20200 Huebner, San Antonio, TX
-It's going to find that the zip code for that address is 78258
-And it will show you this way:
- 20200 Huebner Rd, San Antonio, TX 78258
I personally can't stand the postal service. A couple of times that I've sent something it won't get there for about 2 weeks eventhough it's in Dallas or Houston. For example, I sent a thank you card to a interviewer that had interviewed me for a job. I got the zip code one digit off. My parents house is in the 78247, and the job was in 78248. I accidentally put 78247 and they never got it. Even though 78248 is really close to the house. 10 months later I got the letter back in horrible condition with nothing on it. They voided the stamp. What the hell? They also have a horrible tracking system. It won't tell you where the mail is. Just that "You can expect the package for delivery" No date or anything. I personally use UPS and FedEx. They both have good rates and great tracking.

US_DR_JD is the most correct, how ever if you put the wrong zip code on a letter it will take it an additional three to five days to deliver it to where you want it to go. What ever zip code you put on it is that zip code that it is going to go to once there it will be broken down to a route and then it will be picked up by the carrier and sent back to the main distribution point and then it will be hand sorted. It is better to leave off the zip if you do not know it. To suggest that the handlers tire very quickly is no really correct as they only do this for just a few minutes and then are relieved and rotate off and on keeping them fresh and alert, Please remember that we in the postal service do this for a living and not for a hobby. The sanctity of the mail is paramount to the Postal Service and the movement is how we earn a living.

If you leave off the zip code, there is no guarantee your mailee will ever see the mail. Hand picked mailers get bored quickly and sometimes your stuff ends up in the bin that as I said before never gets anywhere except if you are lucky back to your home. I once sent a piece of mail to a fellow San Antonian for Christmas, and it was returned 7 months later. I was fortunate to have received it at all. I thought for sure the hand mailers would pick through it. They sure did and sent it back to me. So, do use the service
zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp
and do yourself a big favor. (San Antonio is not a small town where there is only one zip code. It's the 8th largest city in the USA.)
