Make sure you use the club card every time you play, even at the talbes.
But, it is based on how much you play and how much you bet. Comps used to be a "human" event. An employee would give comps out because of how the guest behaved, played or just by liking them.
Club cards takes that out of the picture...it's all play now

If you are not looking for the answer "you have to play a lot" then you are not going to get a realistic answer.
The ONLY way to rack up comps is to play. No matter how many promos or coupons or scams you use, the value of your comps will never average more than about 1-2% of what you actually play.
Unless you live in Vegas and/or gamble frequently or at high limits, don't waste your time trying to maximize your comps.
If you go out of your way to gamble at uncomfortable casinos at inconvenient times, you may get a buffet comp after losing $200, instead of after losing $300. Is it really worth it?

I agree with Smiley. Building up comp points varies from casino to casino. Keep this in mind. You MUST use your comp card every time too. Different slots and tables also count into the equation, which as I said, varies from casino to casino. Make sure they have your correct address and information too, so they can mail you updates. Good luck.

Aside from the obvious playing, you need to play the right things. The more money you lay out, the more points you get. Let's say you're playing slots: you'll get more points on quarters than nickels, and the higher you go, dollars, etc., the more points you get. (I don't know the exact ratio though.)

Play the casino's highest edge game such as Megabuck's versus playing video poker. The slots give you more comp points.

In addition to all the responses already given, I found these tips on comp points very interesting. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/players-club-card.html On my next visit in November, I will definitely want to know who the pit boss is.
