We have flights tickets with 6 hrs layover in Atlanta International Airport on October 3. We will have about 4-5 hours... What are some interesting/fun places in ATL Downtown, so we can have great time?

Thank you.

First of all, hope you know that Atlanta Hartsfield Airport is rated to be the busiest airport in the world. So be careful with you timing.

That said, I would suggest you make your way to the Marta train station near baggage claim, buy a day ticket at the machine and head to downtown. Should be about 15 - 20 mins ride. CNN is a nice place as some mentioned. If time were not a strong constraint, the New World of Coca Cola would be nice too.

The Georgia Aquarium would be great as well if not that there is usually a long line of people waiting to enter.

There is also a free jazz concert at the Centennial park, just across the road from the CNN Center every Wednesday at about 5pm.

The good thing is that these are all in the same area so should not be difficult navigating either, however, I can assure you, you can get carried away so be sure that when leaving the airport you actually have about 5 hours and then I'd say it's safe to attempt it.

All in all, Atlanta is a beautiful city.

I agree with Tom c. I dont think it would be wise to leave the airport because sometimes it can take an hour or two just checking in and then going through security. There are a lot of things to do in the airport though. They have several restaurants, bars, disney store, museum store, and a bunch of other things.

take MARTA( train) and visit CNN center.

ATL is frequent delay airport, and secuity line is pretty long, so you don't have too much time to hang around as you think.
