All the places has its own advantages and disadvantages and therefore can never be compared.

A person living in Goa for 70 years will never like Mumbai and similarly a person living in Mumbai for 70 years will never like Goa. Also a person living in any other place for 70 years will never like both Goa or Mumbai.

Also comparison can be done based on certain parameters. For business and profession Mumbai is better place.

For holidaying and partying Goa is better place.

2 different planets!!!!!!!!!!! bombay is a large busy, busy, city and goa is a beach, fun paradise, although probably too touristy these days, for my likings. i was there in 1978 before the tourist invasion in december, and as a single woman, i was safe sleeping out near the beach and under the palms. i did that for a month and then when the hippy trippy travellers arrived there were great parties all night but a suicide, flip outs from LSD and a drowning, put me off the masses and i departed.
now there are cheap flights and package tours from europe and a booze scene which will have totally changed the "vibe"
bombay is visually interesting and can be an adventure. definitely worth a visit.

As far as holidaying is concerned, Goa is a better place. however, as far as job opportunities and living conditions are concerned, bombay is better.
