My friends sons have both been for the last couple of years - they are both qualified football refs but neither have a great deal of experience with children. They have a fantastic time there and made some wonderful friends. Go for it - you will have a great time. Good luck!

I think it will depend on the type of camp you are going to work at but i assume anyway you will have to do a phone interview. It will definitely be looked more favourably upon but depends on how strict and the type of camp you might get away with it. Maybe some voluntary experience with kids, or children or adults with disabilties. if possible, mightened be a bad idea, depending on how badly you want the job and if thats available to you. What kind of camp is it??
Whether you have experience or not, talk yourself up if you get an interview- you've fantastic patience because you've at times had to deal with troublesome customers. Even when you dont get along fantastically with colleagues or customers you must remain professional. Hard worker, dedicated to your work, love a challenge. etc etc. Anything you can think of that may be applied to children use it- oh working as part of a team is a great one. You may not have experience with kids but might have babysat years ago or have younger brothers or sisters or cousins or be a godparent. Use everything you can!

I don't know about camp America , I did B.U.N.A.C. many years ago. It was really brilliant. you should go for it what ever experience you have will help. I had a specialised teaching qualification, so that helped.
