I agree with you. Everyone should stay and everyone should feel free to express their opinion. We are not obligated to agree with what everyone says, and we can show our disagreement with thumbs down if we wish. Likewise we can show our approval with a thumbs up. However, we should not "report" an answer (or question) simply because we do not like the person. This has been happening too much here.......... People have developed antagonism and show it by reporting innocent questions. This is silly. Why don't we all agree that everyone should feel welcome to express his ideas here in a civilized manner. DO NOT ABANDON GREEK SECTION!!!! :)

Dear Kicky,
I contribute to the Greek section for quite some time now. Indeed, I have lately experienced a misery spreading all over the Greek section.
Lately, this section became strongly personalized and, at present, is rather running on the "likes" and "dislikes" of the few, the silly patriotism/fanaticism of others and the ignorant, yet arrogant, opinions of the many.
Even more, the rather few good contributors have abandoned this section for long adding to my disappointment that this section is not going to become any smarter for the foreseeable future.
Thus, I have decided to stay out of this section for good.
I wish that this section improves and becomes better in the future so it will attract the critical mass that badly needs.
My best regards to all the friends I have made in this section.
Frank

Dear,
Greek section (like the other sections) is a small live community. Here you can find everything! Like ;
- Different people, nice or bad, educated or not, real or fake, with sense of humor or always serious and strict in their opinion and the most important from 12 - 60+ years old.
- Different and various opinions and many arguments to support them.
- Gosships to have fun.
- Trolls to have...fun again!
- Friends to spend your time talking or e-mailing with them...and who knows may be they can become "real" friends.
So, I can not find any reason to take serious, the thumbs up and down or the reports and the violations. Everyone, is totally free to say whatever without expecting the 10 pts! The point system is just a game nothing more or less. I think we can coexist here all of us and with his/her particular own way to say whatever believes with respect to the different opinions.

What I think is you're right on the money. Now, uneducated people have their way of expressing their opinion, (the wrong way). And vice versa. But keep this in mind, every person has a limit. No matter how ignorant or intelligent they are.

i have to say that i don't get personal with people over the internet (or i do it rarely) and this is a way to protect myself. So everybody should be careful to whom they trust their personal information and not end up being gossiped about.
(Also It is well known that many people with unstable mentality or pchycological problems find a way out over the internet.)
we won't be their victims.
When i first subscribed to yahoo answers there weren't any greeks here. after some weeks that i was absent i visited the section and saw many fellow greeks but also foreigners mostly tourists and i was so happy.
I want to stick to this feeling and i'll try to ignore all the other. In real life there is competition, friendships and hostility. It seems it's the same here.
I Ellada pote den pethainei kai oute i miseria pou tin kinigaei...Kseftila...kai st'alitheia kai sto internet pantou fainetai i perivoiti koultoura mas...
Ta pa kai ksalafrosa
Ax!
Also if we stop talking about them (i dont know who they are) it will be better. Obviously they try to get our attention. They're not worth it..

...first off, you "write" very intelligently and with a generalized well rounded organization of thoughts and ideas...your questions and answers are, in a word, "cool"....so, you are one of the reasons I come to this section and have you as a contact...you are a breath of fresh air and can be a supportive model for others here...I'm not just throwing out compliments, I really mean this...so, that being said, it's better to stay or go to where ever your talents are best utilized and appreciated...but if put to a vote, then I vote "stay" !

as i said before,
what they want to happen is to make people leave the greek section
we are not doing them the favour!
some people say that they know who are the ones that have other people reported
why dont they just say the names?
