Hello,
I am doing an assignment on Sydney's gay & lesbian Mardi Gras and was curious as to whether is occured (Shrove Tuesday) within Australia's peak tourist season?

Please excuse me, but I was wondering where I might find this information? also any credible sources of information on the event and its impacts would be fantastic.

Thanks very much,

Si

I am going to Los Angeles in April. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to do. I am probably going to check out the basics; disney land, universal studios, san diego zoo. I was wondering what else is worth seeing/doing while there?
My boyfriend would really like to take surfing lessons while there, so also if anyone had any suggestions on that too.

I worked in the UAE for more than a year. I went home to my home country in India because of urgent matters. Due to family problems, I could not come back anymore and had to send my resignation through email.

As expected, my employer has filed an absconding report against me and informed me that I will be on an "immigration" ban where I cannot return to UAE. I know that this ban can only last for a year.

When the ban expires and when I try to come back to the UAE, will I be arrested because of the absconding reported against me?

Hi there
My boyfriend and i are spending Christmas in Edinburgh. We are driving from London on the 23rd December and since we are from South Africa we have no clue which is the best way to drive where we will get to see some really nice things along the way, maybe some beautiful castles or something. We don't want to stop over for long anywhere, but just maybe 1 or 2 things on a particular road on the way up we should definitely pass and visit. Stop for lunch or something. Thanks!

Galeria del Plata is not a common place. It has a kind of magic and mistery that you can feel only when you are walking along the gallery.

Mine was a guesthouse in Tokyo that a friend booked me into, thinking I would like to stay in the cheapest place available. On arrival the owner wouldn't let me into the place before disinfecting my bags. Then he showed me to the, um, very retro room. There was a TV with a meter that I had to pump coins into. Haven't seen one of those since the 70s! There was only hot water available for about 1 hour per day and he told me when I wanted it switched on I had to shout very loudly. There was an 11.30 pm curfew. Of course I came back from my night out at 11.35pm to find myself locked out. There was a sign on the door with a number for me to call. I spent the next 2 hours phoning before he answered.
By this time I was a little bit annoyed so when he did let me in I picked up my stuff and went to the airport and slept on a bench until my flight departed.
No wonder I was the only guest. He was a bit of a loon.

I see some of the big equestrian centers, but can't afford $400 for 8 lessons. I'm preferable looking for someone local to me willing to teach my kids (11, 7) in or around the Manassas, VA area.
Thanks!

She said it was too much and England was more moderate in the size and display in their stores. I didn't dare take her to our bigger malls. Then when I visited Northamptonshire, I found supermarkets just as big and, of all things, shopping malls just like ours. Do other Europeans have negative views of US stores? If so, why?

Me and a friend want to travel around Europe (we are from the UK) for a few weeks, possibly hiring a car. I know that I need a 'pet passport' with rabies vaccinations etc. But I want to know what reception you will get in hotels/hostels when you have a small dog. Anybody gone on holiday with a pet before? He travels well and is very cute, but I dont want to stress him out. I want it to be a fun experience for him too. We're thinking of Italy, France, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Spain. Any advice? Thanks

I will be going to St. John USVI in June. Can anyone give me any information on these villa's? I'm wondering if they have a washer, dryer included, if it is in a nice area? If it is within walking distance to restaurants, etc.?
