my best female friend is coming with us and i fancy her like mad and i think she likes me too. we are planning on pairing boys with girls, if there is a lack of rooms available. what if she agrees to share rooms with me. should i just be cool and let nature take it course. i know if we share room's, something will happen.

I arrive 5pm on a Thursday in January. After checking in the hostel (around 6.30 - 7pm), I think I would very much like to visit the Ku'damm area (I heard it's also bustling with people at night). Then maybe to a pub close to my hostel before turning in to sleep. The next day I plan to take a bus (Berlin 100, offering 11 different sites in Berlin) to visit all the important places in Berlin, then the afternoon, I hope to do some shopping at at C&A or H&M chains (could somebody tell me the location in Berlin), and some sport shoes in "Karstadt Sport" or "Intersport" chains (again, locations...). Then go back to the hostel by 7pm for a shower, then to Ostbahnbof train station for my train.

Questions:
1. Do you think I will have enough time to finish all my plans in time?
2. Suggestion for a good, affordable hostel (not too far from Ostbahnhof and not too far from city centre as well if possible).
3. Suggestion of good night life activities? Maybe for a quite, picturesque stroll?

My Oom Frans gave me a box filled with lots and lots of stick pins. Each pin represented a product in Holland or surrounding areas. Some included were of American Products and Cars, i.e., Chevrolet, Ford, etc. John F. Kennedy, Jaqueline Kennedy.
If I remember correctly, the pins were provided in a product that was purchased at the market.
Can you help by giving me feedback on the true stick pin story, where and when it originated. Are they worth anything? Bedank allemaal!! (yes, was I good on my spelling?)

Hi, i am visiting Edinburgh on the new year's eve and new years day. i check on the internet, there are six major events on new year's eve(
http://www.edinburghshogmanay.org/whatson/ ). most of them need ticket, which one is the best? i want to enjoy a massive countdown and the fireworks, not a big fan of drinking.

one more question, we are staying in stirling on 31st (late booking, plan was to stay in edinburgh), shall we drive to edinburgh, or take a train? what time is the last train service?

Thank you.
