I arrive 5pm on a Thursday in January. After checking in the hostel (around 6.30 - 7pm), I think I would very much like to visit the Ku'damm area (I heard it's also bustling with people at night). Then maybe to a pub close to my hostel before turning in to sleep. The next day I plan to take a bus (Berlin 100, offering 11 different sites in Berlin) to visit all the important places in Berlin, then the afternoon, I hope to do some shopping at at C&A or H&M chains (could somebody tell me the location in Berlin), and some sport shoes in "Karstadt Sport" or "Intersport" chains (again, locations...). Then go back to the hostel by 7pm for a shower, then to Ostbahnbof train station for my train.

Questions:
1. Do you think I will have enough time to finish all my plans in time?
2. Suggestion for a good, affordable hostel (not too far from Ostbahnhof and not too far from city centre as well if possible).
3. Suggestion of good night life activities? Maybe for a quite, picturesque stroll?

Wow, that's allot what you wanna do on one day. A little tip for you that you can do all of this. I don`t know where your hostel is. But go to the S-Bahn station "Alexanderplatz". This is the middle of Berlin and the oldest place. Here is the first C&A and an Intersport too. There are some important places to see. Like the "Fernsehturm" (TV-Tower), go in and take the elevatior. You`ll have a great view over Berlin. When you`re back down, can you make a walk along "Unter den Linden" (2 miles). There you can see a bunch of old buildings, museums, operas, the biggest University in Berlin, and a lot of Souvenir Shops. On the end ist the "Brandenburger Tor". Turn right, there is the "Reichtagsgebäude" and new buildings were our politicans are inside. Turn left from the Brandenburger Tor and there is a new memorial place for the jews they were killed in the 2. world war. When you wouldn`t make a walk, then take the bus from Alexanderplatz (Bus No. 100 direction "Zoologischer Garten"). With this bus can you see all this things too and he brings you to the Ku`damm. Its like a sightseeing tour, but much cheaper. On the Ku`damm can you find 1 C&A; 4 H&M`s, the KaDeWe (big and expensive), the sportstores, a NIKE Store and much more.

The bus tour is cool and you can get on and off when you want. I would really suggest to spend some time at House Am Check Point Charlie. The Brandenburg Tore and Unter der Linden near there is a nice place at night. C&A is a good place to shop. I think Karstasdt Sport can be exspensive but sometimes they have bargains. Have fun

There are sooo many "important places" to see in Berlin that to try and stuff it all into one morning would be difficult unless you just look at all the places from the outside and spend just a few minutes at each one. I spent a weekend there and thought it was perfect. Maybe on your picturesque stroll, you should try and fit in a few of those sights... they are beautiful at night as well. Enjoy Berlin, it's a great city!

i think of of you address way too lots. For a sixteen trip i'd say which you will desire to bypass to 3 cities on the main. those are all acceptable cities with long histories and lots to verify and do. as an celebration: particularly 2 days to verify Vienna? particularly a million.5 days in Rome? insanity! Plus taking evening trains: In my experience, you do now no longer sleep appropriate. you will arrive in Prague as an celebration after a 15-20 hour prepare experience. you will now no longer have slept appropriate and you'd be exhausted. then you particularly'll would prefer to discover your way from the prepare station on your hotel/hostel to verify in. loosen up rather, bathe, regardless of and then hit the city. through utilising that element it is going to already be afternoon and you will probable would desire to sleep particularly than bypass sightseeing. If I even have been on your shoes, i'd do 5 days in Paris, 5 in Vienna, and 3 or 4 in the two Prague or Amsterdam. save Italy on your next trip to Europe and then do the same element (5 days Rome, 5 days Florence, 3 in Venice, and so forth.). I particularly think of of what you have planned precise it particularly is: a million. arduous, attempting to tension your self into doing too lots in a quick quantity of time. 2. you're actually no longer giving your self sustaining time to truly take exhilaration in those stunning places. I advise Rome is not any doubt one among the main necessary, oldest, and culturally prosperous cities in Western civilization and you're particularly going to spend an afternoon and a million/2 there? Vienna is an strategies-blowing place the area you need to prefer to definitely spend 5 or 6 days too. i'd urge you to think of returned your plans.
