Me and a friend want to travel around Europe (we are from the UK) for a few weeks, possibly hiring a car. I know that I need a 'pet passport' with rabies vaccinations etc. But I want to know what reception you will get in hotels/hostels when you have a small dog. Anybody gone on holiday with a pet before? He travels well and is very cute, but I dont want to stress him out. I want it to be a fun experience for him too. We're thinking of Italy, France, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Spain. Any advice? Thanks

You'll get some looks, but you can usually check a small dog in at the hotel. If you go about now with the dog and he doesn't wig out, he shouldn't when you travel abroad either.

There are almost no restaurants or stores that allow pets inside other than service animals, so bringing him may be more trouble than it's worth because of that.

In ITALY:

-leash or muzzle are compulsory

-in north Italy usually dogs are allowed in restaurants and shops (but not food shops and museums)

-but it is quite difficoult to find an hotel or a taxi where you can bring a dog.

-Dogs can't go on the beach

Here in Europe you can take the dog everywhere with no problem leash compulsory always! But I thing it will be better for your dog to stay at home! I don't thing the travel with aeroplane will be good for the dog!

you will discover Europe extra canines friendly than the united kingdom! there are various motels which will settle for him yet some charge a small value for the extra cleansing that they possibility - ensure you verify before you e book. On trains in some international places, you will could desire to purchase a seperate fee tag on your canines and he will have a reserved seat - yet you are able to desire to furnish a blanket for him to take a seat down on. various the international places you record above have an English version of their internet site so which you would be able to look into the info there. Have a dazzling time! you will get excitement from it much extra when you consider which you have him with you.

rather put it in kennels - it'll give you more flexibility and less responsibility. Pets are pets and don't get anything out of travel like humans.

France he will be welcome

Swiss are tolerant but you will pay the full adult fare if he goes on a tram. (Unless he rides in a shopping bag.....I kid you not)

Italy...Ok hes a dog

Further east and they will probably eat him
