I worked in the UAE for more than a year. I went home to my home country in India because of urgent matters. Due to family problems, I could not come back anymore and had to send my resignation through email.

As expected, my employer has filed an absconding report against me and informed me that I will be on an "immigration" ban where I cannot return to UAE. I know that this ban can only last for a year.

When the ban expires and when I try to come back to the UAE, will I be arrested because of the absconding reported against me?

As per the UAE immigration procedures you cannot able to comeback to UAE until you got cancelled the existing visa (residence permit) from your passport, whether it is valid or not. Contact your sponsor/agent to do that prior to reenter to UAE. You can send your passport by courier or through a reliable agent. Otherwise, please note that your visa application will be rejected by the dept.

Try your best; good luck.

If The Immigration Ban Has Expired, there is No restriction on you from entring the country, unless and untill you have a filed report/case in the police (by you ex- empolyers) for fraud or money related issues or other such incidents, which would lead to an immediate arrest.

You won't be allowed to Work in UAE but you won't be arrested unless you have done a major issue. Some companies balck list workers if they run away or if the company report the worker as absconding he won't be able to work again in UAE unless you ix it with the labour Minstry.
