Lately, I have been running really bad. I have just felt so tired when I run. I thought it could be my mileage getting higher. Well, I went to a running camping trip and didnt take my usual vitamins and ate bad compared to what I'm used to eating. The camp lasted about a week and then I had another camp that lasted a week and I didnt take my vitamins. So the weeks I have ran the most and the hardest, I wasnt taking my vitamins including my calcium. Now, my coach is noticing how I'm running and he thinks I might have a mild case of annemia(low iron). So whats causing my problem? Oh by the way, it started about 1 week and a half ago. Please I really just wanna know whats wrong so I can fix it. I think I'm going to be fine once I get back to my old schedule and eat my usual diet. But I'm not sure. I really just want to find out if there is anything wrong with me so I can fix and not ruin my cross country season.

Yesterday I did about 6k with a lot of hills. I'm not in the best of shape, but it felt really good yesterday. I took a hot/cold alternating shower afterwards and used ice packs on my legs for a bit in the evening, but it was a hard run for me.

What do you do the day after? Should it be a recovery day or is it safe to train a bit (and how?).

I am currently entering my sophomore year and i want to know any workouts that have worked for anyone out there to become elite runners. I run about 40+ miles per week (speed, distance, hill workouts) I run everyday regardless of the condition. Any help would be great thank you!

I need more motivation to join and stick with cross country. It starts monday and I'm not in good shape. Is there anything I can do to make it sound more exiting to myself? And stay that way?

I just started x-country less than a week ago and my shins have already began to act up( I have had shins splints before). Is there anything I could do to reduce the pain while running? Is there a certain type of running shoe i should get or something like that?

I wonder if my doctor can be wrong about my foot pain and it's cause. He stated tendonitis in my achilles tendon and told me to take Aleve and use a heel cup.

I already wear custom sized orthotics which have worked for two years.

The pain starts in the back of my heel where my achilles tendon attaches, there is also a bump there. Activity makes it worse, even as little as 3 miles, and rest makes it dissipate, but never fully.

When the pain is bad, it also radiates up the side of my foot, all the way up to the ankle.

I have followed Dr. advice and no improvement. I miss running - a LOT, and I am frustrated. My shoes are new, and I have the right shoes, fitted by a specialist. And I have $200 custom sized orthotics.

I am quite heavy and that has always exacerbated my repetitive stress injuries, but in 3 years, 3 half marathons, and 1 full, never a problem this stubborn.

Does anyone have any advice?

I want a new pair of running shoes but I am very particular about syles. I like really unique and cool looking shoes. My question is: ARE TRAIL RUNNER SHOES ABOUT THE SAME AS REGULAR RUNNING SHOES? They are both for running so would it be a bad idea to get trail running shoes for regular running? And I'm buying them online so I can't try them on and test them out.

I've shifted from track distance running to road running. I'm just curious if what i've been doin' on track is applicable on roads, especially the drills(high knee, A skip, B skip, One leg jump, buttkickers jump, karaoke etc...). Because I find roads a very hard surface...

Does anyone know of a plan for beginner runners? And I REALLY mean beginner....I "ran" today and here's what I did: Warmed up for 5 minutes easy then started to run at about 5 mph. Could only go for 2 minutes then I had to walk for a minute. I kept doing the 2 minutes, one minute thing then cooled down. I suck and need to get better. I really want to enjoy going for a run. HELP!

Last friday I rolled my ankle very badly while on a run. I was on crutches for about a day and a half, and I've been icing as much as possible, but it's still swollen and it's been almost a full week. I know it's healing though because I went from not being able to walk this past wkend to now being able to walk perfectly normally. I've been biking, but I'm not sure when it's safe to go back to running. Do you think it's okay to go back to running even though it's still somewhat swollen, as long as I'm careful not to roll it again??? (I also have a limited range of motion from side-to-side, but I the motion of running is not fully restricted. I have either a brace or an ace bandage that I could wear.) and I'll be sure to ice immediately after running.

I need tips for running a timed mile.

I need to do it for the upcoming soccer season.

I am running it on a 400m track, so 4 laps = 1 mile.

I'm asking for tips like sprinting the straightaways, first lap, last lap tricks. ANYTHING. please! it's on Saturday!

Thank you!

i just started cheering for my high school and at all the practices we do all the normal stuff, then in the last half we do like 200 jumps then run like 3 miles and since im sore and tired from the jumping the running is near impossible for me. we practice 5 consecutive days a week. i never stop and walk, thats the worst thing to do, i know, but its soo hard for me. what can i do to make the running easier for me, because i am so set against quitting. thanks so much in advance, i need help pretty bad.
