I know about the protein and carbs but what exactly do you buy at the grocery store? I dont want to roll up and be like oh what is a carb and what is a protein.

Hello,

I wouldn't change your diet too drastically. I've found that foods high in carbs (rice, pasta, grains, and cereals) are best before long and hard workouts. I've also found that meat and dairy products are not good meals before hard workouts (or the race!). Hope that helps. Good luck!

Eat whatever you want as long as it doesn't have a lot of fats in it. If you are training for a marathon you will burn off whatever you are eating. Before the race have pasta.

Eat a balanced diet.

Before long runs, eat more complex carbohydrates than you normally eat. Pasta is a good source for carbohydrates .
