stop and walk it goes away. Any ideas on what is going on with my knee. I'm 23 and I noticed this happening at about 19. I would love to run everyday, but I'm afraid of doing further damage. Has anyone had this problem?

i don't think you have an acl tear, although without scoping your knee, I couldn't tell for sure. Have you had a history of knee injuries or corrective surgeries? What you may have is some diffusion of the connective tissue that gets inflamed under exertion. make an appt with a sports medicine doctor to get some tests run.

Sure that's what every initial runner experiences, its good to know that you want to run daily, try waring knee caps all 24 hours, this will not only hold your knees tight, but also warm them up & reduce the pain, also try taking cord liver capsules.2 at a time before bed time>>> mike-india

Ice your knees for 20 minutes after every run. This should stop the swelling, so after each run, this problem shouldn't happen. If it does continue the next day, after you iced the previous day, I suggest talking to your doctor.

why don't you get it checked out before you DO more damage. I'm sure the doctor can determine what's going on.
I would suggest extract of wild raspberry leaf,,, (2 drops a day),,,this element makes your body produce tendon.,,,,,good luck and good health!~

it sounds like a tracking problem where your knee cap is stationary on its runners if you like, my sister wasnt refered to a physio but she went anyway and they said she was lucky she did go when she did. so get it seen to quickly to avoid any uncurable injuries
gd luck mate hope it goes well
