I've seen the highlights of Marlins games on ESPNEWS and it seems like only 25% of the Dolphin Stadium seats are filled. If the Marlins are going to move, they should move to Charlotte, North Carolina. We can call them the Carolina Comets.

I for one find watching baseball on espn to be painful. The announcers spend more time repeating themselves constantly and their attempts at making jokes are really rather sad. Compared to NESN I almost find the games on espn un-watchable.

I think it was during the 80's and he might have played for the Mets. I remember hearing the rumor but can't remember who the player was. Allegedly he kept the pipe on him during games so no one would find it in his locker.

It seems to me many people(not all)still can't believe the Indians have what it takes to get to the playoffs and make a run at it all.

Some say it's because they don't have experience. They don't have much experience in the playoffs but just two years ago they sufferd from having no experience getting swept by the White Sox ast the end of the season. During the offseason the Indians GM(Mark Shapiro) knew if they were going to make the playoffs and do well in it they needed some veterans on the team. So he went out and got David Dellucci and Trot Nixon.

If you don't believe the Indians are the real deal, and that rebuilding they did in 2002 is finally starting to pay off, please tell me why.

What if they find out he 100% for sure took steriods or performance enhancing drugs? If you were a pitcher and facing Bonds from now until he gets the record, would you pitch to him or walk him?

First, I'm a huge Red Sox and Blue Jays fan and don't really follow the NL much so I have a LOT more hate for Clemens than for Bonds. But as much as I think Clemens is a prick I have to give him his props. 7 other pitchers have won 350 games but out of those seven only Warren Spahn didn't spend most of his career in the deadball era or in the 19th century (Before 1920 a really good ace pitcher could win 30 games in a good season and the weight of the ball, the large size of parks and other factors favored pitchers a lot more than they do today.). Even Spahn pitched in an era where there were a lot more pitchers parks and a bigger strike zone.

Today, most factors have swung in favor of the hitter and pitcher usage practices make it a lot more difficult more a starter to get a lot of wins in one season. So, while both are great accomplishments, I think Reaching 350 wins in this era is at least as large an accomplishment as the home run record Bonds is about to break.

When we here in SF had the game last week,we had something called a "Fan Fest" that was sponsed be DHL Shipping, and of course the "Home Run Hitting show" for ESPN that no one watched. I think both of those should have have been "free" to the public. Just open the doors and let them in.

i think the intentional walk should be removed from baseball. it takes away from true competition. if the best batter can't swing, he sure isn't going to do much more than walk or maybe get hit in.
