The Indians now have their manager Eric Wedge through 2010. He started managing with the Indians in 2003 during the early part of their rebuilding mode. He has a 373-366 record as a manager(all with the Tribe). His 373 wins are 7th most in Indians history. Now the question is, do you think this is a good move or not? Why or why not?

1) Who was the last player to hit 2 homers in game in which he had 2 stolen bases?

2) Who was the last player to hit for the cycle, but only drive in one run?

I have heard that they make the visitor's bullpen mounds a different hight than the one on the field to mess them up, tilt the lines if a good bunting team is in town, and moisten the dirt in between 1st and 2nd for stealing teams. But what other tricks do the do?

I was watching a game and the umpire called balk because he felt the pitcher was deceiving the runner. The pitcher had the ball in his glove and was looking at the catcher for the sign when he moved his pitching hand up a few inches and then back down. He wasn't even reaching for the ball. How can you deceive a runner when it's impossible for you to throw the ball?

Tom Seaver pitched most of his career in a pitcher's park. Ferguson Jenkins pitched most of his career in Wrigley Field. He even lost a Cy Young award to Seaver one year with a lower earned run average. For all those pathetic Cubs teams he won 20 or more year after year.
That being said, Seaver was obviously really good. Who was better do you think?
