I think they only need a couple good bullpin pitchers and a reliable ace to be a playoff team, but the owners don't want to spend money so it won't happen.

Do you think the players or the coaches are to blame?
Should Pitching Coach Larry Rothschild be fired ASAP, because he hasn't still done anything to improve the pitching?

Who or what is to blame for the slow start?

- The lack of consistent offense
- The incompetent bullpen
- The Pitching

Or is it all of them?

Who needs to step up or else?

One of my opponents picked Wilson up from the minors, so I went ahead and got Hennessey. Will it be one of these two or is there someone else. I really need the inside scoop because I'm afraid the Marlins will go with Benitez and if that happens I'll lose Gregg as a closer.

It seems like teams that get hot late in the season can get sneak in to the post season and ride that momentum all the way into the World Series. Is it possible that getting "hot" later in the season is more important than being consistent all season?

If the past never mattered, why would their be a rivalry. There would be no rivalry. Babe Ruth would mean absolutely nothing if it never mattered. Mickey Mantle, Joe Dimaggio, Yogi Berra, Ted Williams, they all would mean nothing in our lives.

Also, I always hear about 2004 from Red Sox fans. They still think they deserve respect 4 that. OK, u broke the curse, now what. Do u expect the other teams 2 just bow down and give u the trophy.

Ummm, sox fans, that was 3 years ago. It's 2007, not 2004.

Enjoy ur success now, cause u know it will be short - lived.

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately: does a manager really make a difference? Look at the Yankees: Joe Torre is said to be a great manager, but why are they struggling (yeah I know all their pitchers are out, but they have a better offense then the Tigers, but the Tigers made it to the World Series). What are your thoughts on what a manager is? Is it just someone who keeps everything organized in the dugout? Who are some good managers now? Who are bad managers?

I understand, you're upset that your team is losing, but you're going to have to suck it up and take it. I've been a Tigers fan for my entire life, and until the past 2.5 years, my team has been mired in futility, battling with the Royals for fourth in the AL Central. It's just not your season. Sometimes you have to cut your losses, deal with the fact that your team is having their worst season in 12 years, sit back and take whatever the opposition says. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" is the phrase, and the Yankees were pretty big while they were on top. So, as a fan neutral to the "Yanks-Sawx" feud, could the muckraking, which aren't really questions to begin with, end?
