If player/manager future hall of famer Joe Torre was to bet on the Yankees after swearing and signing under oath that he would not was to get caught betting on baseball would you forgive him? No!

Is it ok if Willie Randolph was to bet on the game? No!

In fact let's just let all the managers bet on the game and forgive them later down the road. I don't think so.

What makes Pete Rose so damn special that we should forgive him?

People love Jason Giambi because he is a nice guy who likes the media and kids. When he confessed to using steroids he apologized. Fans and the media seem to have "forgiven him". If Bonds were always nice to kids and the media (like Big Mac or Sammy Sosa) would people hate him as much? Would anyone care about the steroids accusations? Is this more about Bonds being a jerk or a cheater? Will this impact his Hall of Fame chances?

The "Boss" has stated that Brian Cashman is on a "short hook" for the recent failure of the Yankee team he put together this year. Does Cashman deserve this? Does Cashman deserve credit for the succcess he has seen as GM, or did he simply ride a wave put in motion by Gene Michael and the Tampa "brain trust"?

I know they started out really well. Right now they are struggling. I for one would like to see them make it (would also like to see my Yankees make it). Us folks here in Milwaukee would love to see the Brew Crew in the playoffs.

I recently began sidearm pitching and was looking for some tips. When i threw Overhand i threw a 4 seam, 2 seam, curve, change-up, and a 12-6. Put i tried some of those pitches (curve, 12-6) sidearm and they weren't effective. The 12-6 didn't drop and the curve stayed flat. What pitches should i learn to replace those, or what pitches do sidearm MLB pitchers throw?

For instance, let's say I had been an Orioles fan since 1960, and then in 1973, I said "I don't like the DH I'm going to pick another team", was that common? Or did AL fans for the most part take it in stride and like the DH?
